So I took a look at the receipt for when I got my flowmaster put in, thinking it was 40 series.

"942443 Flowmasters"

I have 40 Delta Flows.
Are those ****ers gonna sound at all "aggressive!!" with a prochamber?
Or am i just setting myself up for disappointment and a smaller bank?

"It's gonna sound like a mustang should" MY ASS

It's still better than what I have now, but damn, what a mojo killer

Personally I don't like flowmasters BUT as long as you like it and you're not all bark and no bite go for it. Magnaflow ftw!

i dont like the flows either mine had all stock with weld in deltas when i got it and i had them replaced ASAP wasnt a bad sound just sounded like every other one out there...
the delta with an O/R pipe is better than the 40 with O/R i think sounds cleaner

SPINTECH FTW

a regular 40 series with an off road pipe drones like an mf-er. I had that set up on mine for about a month and switched it out. And trust me, I like loud, mean sounding cars, but I was not happy with that combo at all. Your delta's should sound decent

It's not that he put the wrong one in, I just said I wanted a nice sound for my mustang and the guy jumped in all cocky-know-it-all "it's gonna sound like a mustang should".

At the time I was pretty uneducated on mufflers so I let him do his thing.
But from what I heard here apparently It was a good thing, when I put the Hpipes it'll sound good with less drone that original 40s.

I have flowmaster weld-ins with an o/r x (mufflers were on when I got the car) and it's pretty goddamn loud. My guess is original 40 series, but here's a vid for comparison. This is probably like 3k rpm.

They could be delta's though, I've got no idea because the serial numbers are on top. I honestly can't really tell the difference between the originals and deltas.

It's really hard to explain but I noticed that the Delta's had like a false tinted sound to them, like something was missing?? I dunno how to explain it. They just don't have the gnarl like the original 40's do. Throwing on some Borla's or SLP's make a mustang sound like it should.. That cock-gobbler only said that about flowmasters because that is about the only exhaust he hears on Mustangs because its one of the cheaper ones to put on, and everybody seems to do it.. You should go back there and make him change it out and put the real 40's in, rather than the Delta's.

TheOdessa just posted that the other day on this forum about the different types of Flowmasters..

I really wish I could find a serial # on mine. I would just like to know exactly what they are. It looks like who ever welded them in faced the serial # toward the sky if it isn't stamped into both sides. I can't find an identifier...

Speaking of exhausts I really need to update my exhaust video for people so they know what it sounds like broken in.

He WAS a cock gobbler... But I think I'll be pleased once the midpipe is in. Hopefully

Yeah you can, just did it the weekend before last.

I would like to hear that. I'm looking at getting Magnapacks with the Tru-X mids or some sort of catted H.
I have a sound clip I did on my Droid earlier today.. It's not the best, but it gives you an idea of what it sounds like. Ill have to get it posted up
