Maybe y'all can help me out. I put a 125 shot zed black out on my car. I put some colder plugs in but I have no tune yet. Well yesterday it ran great on the bottle then today when I get on it, it misfires bad like I would be hitting a fuel cut. Then it back fired through the intake and blew smoke out the front of the car. Runs fine still but what else should I do besides getting a tune? I know it's not smart to be doing that with out the tune but I couldn't resist. Thanks!

No I don't have a cam. Do you think the plugs could have fouded that quick? I put them in yesterday before I sprayed for the first time.

Do you have a window switch?

How many pounds have you ran through it? What rpms did you have the nitrous active? Are you running the stock tune or a handheld tune? Do you have a window switch? Is your fuel pump working correctly? Did you only have it on at WOT? What jetting are you using and did you verify they were installed in the correct location?

You need to run premium gas with nitrous. Sounds like you had some puddling in the intake. From what I've read you can have those issues when you get up to the bigger shots but I'm not sure if thats your problem. Not sure what your plugs are gapped at, but mine are .035.

With a Zex kit I doubt he has one.

What did you gap the plugs at? What plugs did you use?
Iv got the NGK Br7ef gapped at .040. Premium gas is all I run as well. No window switch just wot switch.

Would no tune or not pulling any timing cause this? I'm new to the nitrous world. But the car religiously starts misfire bad around 3500rmps until around 4000. Souds just like a fuel cut

Gap is too big for starters. Needs to be .28-.32........I would also dial the shot back to a 100. Since you don't have a tuner to pull some timing. If you want to be be super safe stick the 75 shot in it and it will be totally fine.

This is of course if you didn't hurt anything if it indeed backfired through the intake. I would say it didn't because a PI intake usually dosen't survive a backfire.

Did it do this before you put nitrous on or started after you sprayed it?

Is it doing this at all times or only on the spray?
