Before you say its not possible, try it yourself. The night in jail is as real as it gets. I don't think I would have been arrested and lied to about my speed. Push your car past red line with 4.10's if you don't believe me. I had just lost my job and was running my car. I'm not going to sit here and play internet gangster there are plenty of people that do that on this forum

I was trying at first to blow my car up so my parents would have to buy me a v8, with v6 insurance

Where do you live, please tell me what highway you did this on.
edit: You went t jail, you were clocked at 156, post up the copy of the ticket.

i dont believe you were actually going 159 to begin with. and i dont think its possible to get there with 4.10s
post a copy of the ticket and ill believe you partially because you dont actually know how fast you were going because your speedo doesnt go that high, and the cop ma have said you were going faster then you were, thats whay happened to me. if this whole story is really true, but i doubt you were going 159 with 4.10s, oh and im curious, how did you take your governor off?

yeah, stock 1995 3.8. i want the most acceleration i can get out of my car without droppin major cash into the engine. i want the acceleration of 4:10's but i dont want to " ease " through town at 3000 rpm.

i believe im gonna go with 3:73's, i want more punch, but im not gonna drag race every single day. Im gonna get a shift kit as well, so thatll help. i can get 3:73's on ebay for 58$ shipped.

What all is needed to change my stock gears out? shims? i talked to my ford dealer, they said i needed some pinion bearing or something...

give me a list of what i need to get my old gears out, and my new gears in. im gonna get someone else to install them, but im gonna buy them the supplies.

What all is needed to drop in a posi and gears? and what gears should i go with, i want more takeoff but dont want to be wound out in 3rd gear at 70 mph. ring now at 60 mph im runnin 1300 rpm, which is a good thing, but it takes me a while to get there, i raced a mazda miata ( older model ) and when he hit 4th gear i had just hit second at 80 mph... so thats kinda sayin i got some airplane gears. I want to go fast, but i was to get there fast as well. so 3:73 or 4:10?

i'm with SS

besides with the mod listed.. it would take ya like for ever!!

ur engine will not past 130 maybe.. but u will run out of gas first..

ur engine doesnt even has like 220 h.p with the mods u have in ur sig.. so u would run out of t.q and h.p to continue pushing ur car..

ok.. idk... but could the guy i bought my car from put 2.73s?

cause my dad and i were running in the higway (there where no cars just in case)

and it got ur exact mph.. 50 on 1st 80 2nd and 110 on 3rd then rev limiter kicks in (if i remember correctly) so 4th gets to 116 then governors kicks in...

okay you should be around 45 in first, 80 in second and 110 in third right?
im at about 35 60 and 95... they aren't the same and if they are then the tranny's aren't matching up... meaning someone has and auto and someone has a manual
