I have 03 Mustang GT 4.6 2v, auto, 4.10 gear, CAI, Tuner, and exhaust.
I run a 100 shot NX nozzle kit to... What is best cam...do I need new lifters as well....what kind of HP/tq figures should I get ?:eek:uttahere:

You will not find better cams for N/A and N20 than the CMS Stage II's. I saw gains of 40rwhp N/A and 218rwhp on a 150 shot. They're a lot of pretenders out there still trying to catch up to these cams. Don't be fooled, CMS Stage II's are the real deal.:)

If you don't want the hassle of changing springs, then the MHS nitrous stage 1's are great! You can see my numbers in my sig.

New track times will be coming in late September, I believe it will show just how good these stage 1 cams are!

How much did they cost and did you put in new lifters as well? Any other work need to be done for the install?
Springs are the only thing needed. There are cams out there not needing new springs but you asked for the best and the best require new springs. I installed them myself with a little help.

What about cam degree? I have a 2000 GT n/a and I want to cam mine while the engine is out. The CMS Stage 2s look good, but what special tools are needed to do the install. Also I have to take my car somewhere else to get my gears in after reinstalling the engine. Does that mean I wouldn't be able to drive my car after the install?

Also what is typical cost for Dyno tune. I already have an SCT Tuner so I would just need to pay for the tune itself. Obviously Bama does not tune for cams plus I think the bama tune may have been the reason for spun rod bearing.

If you dont know anything about cam degreeing i'd highly recommend using the degree services that CMS and MHS provide. It will save you alot of time and alot of headaches. You can just line up the dots and giv'er.

For a good nitrous tune i couldn't see it taking more than 3 hours. My pi swap took 1.5 hours to get it dialed in at 110 bucks an hour on the dyno.

Id say 300-400 dollars would be reasonable for a tune.

I am not looking for nitrous cams or anything related to nitrous. Just regular N/A cams. I want something that will give me just a little more power.

Or maybe I should just wait till I have the engine back in the car and I have the gears that I already purchased in. The thing is I am just itching to do something while the engine is out. I feel like if I don't do something now I will regret it later when I have to install something when the engine is in the car.

I was thinking about longtubes or even shorties but they barely add any power or sound. Plus my car sounds amazing as is.

Do you want a cam? Or cams?

go with CMS n20 cams and you'll be set. Search the forum for install guides

I've got springs, lash adjusters, cam gears, and spring removal tool for sale. All new
I will keep that in mind.

For me, i like having power on tap. Not having to worry about filling a bottle every weekend i wanna have fun was worth it. Plus, for the price of my blower i will save money in the long run. Not saying im not gonna spray on top of it because i eventually plan on it. lol
