16 bucks for a gallon doesnt seem to steep, never seen or used it though. however i like my tried and true method, i had a car that leaked everything when i was younger, and i made it look brand new, found where the leaks were coming from, took apart and put new gaskets in, then sprayed it again and bam no leaks. but i still made sure to cover the trouble parts.

stevey92 do you spray it with a power washer at all? or do you just wipe it down with the chemical? or what do you do differently, never hurts to save time.

I don't have a power washer, I just use a hose on the mist setting, what you're basically doing is releasing as much dirt as possible before you spray it with APC. All I try to do is get everything damp, then I spray APC on everything liberally, then ill immediately take a detail brush and agitate all the metal, plastic, hoses, etc. And get the APC to foam up a little. You don't want to leave APC on plastics for extended periods of time because you can fade it with a strong APC. Then I just mist all the dirt and product away. Then I use my leaf blower and blow dry the engine bay making sure I get absolutely everywhere especially around wires and stuff. After that I let it air dry for about an hour, start it up and let it run for 15 minutes and I'm done. That's the way I do it and I've never had any issues cleaning an engine bay can be time consuming though because they're intricate.

I just did my engine compartment and I started out with a light coat of purple power cleaner on a cold engine and let it sit for 20 minutes, and the sprayed it off real good. I stayed away from all the stuff you can mess up. After that was done I sprayed it down with a citrus engine degreaser and let it sit for 20 minutes, and sprayed till it was clean. I spent the next hour or so wiping it down and finished with interior spray to give it a nice clean look.
