Not going to lie... a huge part of me wants to say screw this on3 turbo kit that I bought back in dec... part of the reason is because I bought the kit at a time where I knew it would be a few months until I could buy the rest of the needed parts but... I've had different things come up and while yes I still have the kit and just need to buy a few things and get it installed...

those few things are still another $1500 away in parts... not to mention $$$ for a legit tune which I would happily pay a little more to get it tuned from the right person and of course there are other bs things I still need to buy for my car... "whole new convertible top"... probably wouldn't hurt to replace timing chain as I'm coming up on 100,000 miles... and of course I was wanting to do forged internals as well and I just keep getting overwhelmed thinking about it all and while I'll pay an extra couple hundred a month in a car payment... (yes my car isn't paid off yet...)

I really LOVE the 13/14' GT's!!!

I love the exterior... interior... the motor.... all of the #'s on paper performance and spec wise...

Just out of curiousity though... granted I know not everyone qualify's for the same interest rate nor puts down the same amount for a down payment...

but...

seriously though... what did everyone drive off the lot paying for their 13'/14' Mustang 5.0?

I know I'm probably coming off like a lazy bitch wanting to take the easy route but at the same time... I've never owned a brand new car before... I love the new 5.0's and...

I mean... Do I need to really give any reasons "WHY" to switch to a newer coyote mustang? lol

I paid 30k for my '12 Brembo/3.73 premium. Prices have gone up just a touch, but not much. My car stickered at 36k btw. Base cars can be had for about 25k otd if you know where to look.

Just my opinion but I like a car that is 1-2yrs old with 10-17k miles. So you don't take so much of a depreciation hit since most newer cars are depreciating assets and not appreciating ones. I gave 27k for a 2011 with 12k miles that already had a 2.3ltr Whipple supercharger, lower control arms, engine dress up,performance clutch and GT500 exhaust already installed. I paid cash for mine so I don't know what current interest rates are.

It's gonna vary depending on time of purchase, location and options. The car can come with damn near 10k worth of options. Base with no options you might be in the 30k area but add premium and a few options and you're closer to 40k.

Meh, I'm not one for buying molested cars... And you have to weigh the difference in Interest on new vs old. All depends on the situation, I guess.

Just to add I ****ing love going to lunch 1000x more now with my 14 GT. Just sitting there idling listening to the somewhat burbling stock idle with my Roush axlebacks! So much win! Just watching the heat escaping out of the hood vents makes me salivate.

If you're on the fence about it, JUMP! It's an awesome ride.

I disagree, there are plenty of good buys when it comes to used cars that have been cared for. To me it's worth not having the payment for mods or other things in life.

dude i bought my 2011 in febuary. had 40,000 miles but was a dealer car and was like new with no mods. base model with 3.73s option and i payed 19,990 for it... i found it on the lot the day it went for sale.. lol is that a find??

dealer car as in a sales man drove it to and from work and on highways to make deals.. sorta like a lease i guess?? and it was practically brand new... 40K but the seats were still bouncy and squishy... the clutch felt flawless.. engine just hums nicely and flows so smooth. hell the metal around the key hole for the ignition wasnt even scraped dude. this thing was mint. i say thats the best buy i could have ever made. waaaaayyyyyy better than my 03gt

Excellent deal man!

You misunderstand me. Not saying the deals can't be good, but doesn't always mean its the best route. I see used base model 5.0's with 10k or less going for basically what you'd pay at a dealer after incentives and a little talk down. On top of the fact that you can finance a new car at a lower APR vs a used car.

I'm not doubting you got good deals, just that sometimes a new car is the way to go.

Bought my 2011 last year it had 4470 miles on it. Out the door for 21000. Just broken in for me guy traded for a truck (F150 keeping in in the family) cause he was starting a family.
