I am a soldier in the Army, recently back from Iraq with money to blow, and have just bought new Mustang GT. I'm not that knowledgeable about internal components of a car and need some help (Hey, I'm a paratrooper, I was born ignorant :usa ) I have decided to upgrade with a 500 hp Whipple Supercharger and will soon have it installed. However, I recently learned from looking at a few sites on the web that I could face the possibility of blowing my engine and need to upgrade to forged parts. I also saw in another forum that I could get a thicker head gasket and this could be a cheap and easy solution that will allow me to run the supercharger without worrying that much about blowing the engine.
Any advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated and please "dumb it down" for me because I don't know that much. Thanks in advance :wink
