I need feedback from those running this setup.
I know there will be more under steer, but is it really much more than stock setup?
Not sure if the 245/45 or 255/40 is enough tire to match the 315's out back as far as traction.
But then again, I'm speaking of a daily driver application.
Just trying to finalize my sizing before I spend all that money.
Thanks.

You'll be fine. I have 245/45/17s up front and 315/35/17s out back. No issues.

If you are talking about auto-cross or pushing the twisties really hard then I don't know. I'm running that setup but I don't push the corners quite that hard. I drive spirited and I've not had any problems but nothing like they do. I would suspect that setup could cause understeer if you pushed hard enough. But I would think it would be better to have a little understeer than to have oversteer on the street. I may be wrong, I believe most of the guys running auto-cross run the same tires on all four.

I plan on getting 315's with new wheels of course and putting my 275's up front. The big offset just looks so wierd to me.

I have 315s (rear) and 245s (front). You will not notice any difference unless you are a serious auto x or road course racer. Get 315s, you will not regret it at all, I'm actually really sad that mine have to come off in a few weeks so my 245 all season tires can go on.

I don't know if I would say excess, but it does tighten up the car.
I use to run a 255/315 setup. Got rid of the 315 as the car would just plow in the turns. Felt completely off. Bear in mind, this was REALLY pushing the car. Maybe I noticed it so much because I was running a 255 in the back before and was use to pushing the car into turns.

^If you dive bomb every turn, then I can see how you would really notice it. You have to keep the mentality of "slow in, fast out." Any car will understeer if you enter a turn too fast. I know for me, 245 rear tires were scary loose in aggressive driving.

By pushing it do you mean 70 in a turn with a posted speed limit of 35?

I know....
I try but I have so much body roll it scares me. Hoping the eibach pro system plus kit I'll be getting will help with that.

I've noticed the body roll too and it's a bit offputting considering I'm used to cars with really tight suspension. However, I've noticed it does maintain grip rather well. I've yet to work up the nerve to find out exactly how far it would go. I'd be concerned if going too tight would lower the point at which it starts to slide.
