T5's are trash.. Either get a Tremec or go automatic..

i think it depends on the driver

I am making 337 rwhp and my t5 is doing well I will let you know how they hold up this weekend at the track though.LOL :D But when it does brake im going with pro motion performance T5's

i want 400-450 hp out of it. i thought about going auto but manual is sooo much more fun. my t5 has a bad 2nd gear sincro so i think i will get a better one but damn form 1800 to 2500 for a tranny... phew thats alot... but i guess it doesnt matter how much money or power u have in ur engine if u cant get it to the ground..

the T5 is also one of the most efficient manual transmissions available. As long as you know how to drive... they can handle alot of power. I have also seen them back up 10 second cars. Also a close friend of mine had a T5 behind his S-trimmed 306. That thing made some power.

I just replaced the stock T-5 in my 89. It had 155K on the ticker. It has been slowly going out for a while. Then a few weeks ago, it started acting up real bad. So, I bought another replacemnt. Thought the problem was fixed... NOPE! Bad clutch was still affecting the shifts. Point is, the tranny would have held up quite a bit longer had the clutch not failed. I drive that car hard, and the person before me said he gave it hell also. Now with the new tranny, stout but not harsh clutch, Tri-ax shifter, moser 31 spline axles, replacement FRPP posi, 3.55 gears, and a girdle cover, hopefully things go well for a while, at least until I get my turbos in!

yeah jordans right...wait til ryan comes in...he's used them upto 400hp+...all depends on the driver, then down which clutch and shifter and what adjustment is made to shifter...
