What are some good All season tires that i can put on my winter rims (they'll be on next week- about mid spring). I'm looking for something awsome for the price... any ideas? looking for a 245/45/17

note* wont be driving when snow on the ground. Just got winter rims cuz the salt will destroy my good Chrome Rebels.

Give me some ideas/brands

I used the Blizzak from Bridgestone in Boston and they worked great. I had them on the LS which has comparable power to the GT, at some level.

Yes I have had Michelin Alpins, I think they're called, Goodyear something or other whatchamacallit's, and Bridgestone Blizzak's. The Blizzak's are far and away the best snow & ice tire. I **** you knot.

it should be good i think there about the best studless tire your going to buy. firestone firehawk is a decient all season tire and is made to handle light snow.

ok, with the Blizzak's what kind of traction will i get in light snow?
Amazing traction. The last vehicle I had them on was a Focus. The difference between the Blizzak and my expensive Michelin all seasons was night and day in the snow. It can literally be the difference between say, getting up a snow covered hill or not.

Now if you're talking about a Mustang, a rwd car won't be as good as a fwd car in the snow, especially if it's a GT. I would still throw a 50lb. bag of sand/kitty litter in the trunk, one on each side, behind the wheel, for added traction. and take it a little more easy around ramps and what not.

But yeah, if you do a lot of winter driving, you can't go wrong with the Blizzaks. :)

Tire Rack's rating for the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25. It's really hard to beat this tire for winter driving. It's a winter tire. The following tires are all season tires.

Tire Rack's rating for the Firestone Firehawk GTA-02 Firestone Firehawk GTA 02. The Firehawk GTA which fits the Mustang was unrated.

Tire Rack's rating for Continental ContiExtremeContact Continental ContiExtremeContact. I bought the Continental tire because most of the time the roads around here are dry and the dry road handling is better. I also have a back-up 4x4 pickup when the roads get really bad.

Tire Rack's rating for Kumho AST Kumho Ecsta ASX.

Tires I was driving last winter. Kumho Ecsta MX. You do not want to drive this tire in the winter. This is why I got stuck in one inch of snow in a parking lot and spun out in a corner that had a little frost on it.

+1 on the extra weight and easy driving.
