How much would it cost to turbo charge my 2000 v6 stang? I want more power and I heard turbo charging was the way to go.
I was thinking of putting a v8 in my car would that be alot of money ? Also my head lights look like his how do I get them to look like this. Ok last question where do you guys buy your window tints and do you install them yourself ?
Sorry for all the questions but I just got my mustang and don't really know much about cars at the moment.

for turbo, about 5 grand all said and done. the v8, might as well buy a gt since you will need to replace the entire exhaust, suspension, wiring, and rear end to withstand abuse.

my headlights are the second link. i bought them from Symmic off ebay 2 years ago.

Window tint at a local shop for 200 for whole car:
20% front winshield, side windows, quarter panel windows, and rear windshiled, 6" 2% strip front, 6" blackout rear.

Oh I thought you tinted your headlights. I was looking at them and seen fog lights how do they work do they turn on when you turn on your head lights and are the easy to install ?

yes the fog lights work :crazy

they are wired to a switch where the coin holder once rested. they can be turned off when headlights on, turned on when headlights on, and even on with bright lights on. yes they are easy to install if you know the basics to wiring

no, push the windshield wiper knob out towards dash

im going to apologize right now cuz i read that whole thread and couldn't stop laughing... don't worry i couldn't figure out my headlights for like ten minutes... then i got pissed and pushed it away from me... rather violently... but w.e

lawl... sorry

you learn things like this reading the owner's manual- something that should be done prior to turning the key of any vehicle

Lol i thought i was the only one, i was about to take it back becuase its still under warrenty. my friends have been asking me questions about it like how much hp does it have how long does it take to go 0-60 where can i find this out? oh and one more thing i was reading in this forum and i seen some one talk about super charging is that the same as turbo charging ? if its not how much would that cost ?

is it possible to wire the fog lights though the running lights so that i can turn them on with out the headlights? i used the existing fog light wires that come wired with the car.
yes, just get a power source other than the headlights

owners manual can tell you the basics about your car... including power numbers at rpm numbers.

no s/c is not same as t/c- not even close. google can help you there

aight i wanna take a shot at this... cuz i used to be into the tuner **** with all that going on...

a turbo charger is a forced induction unit that runs off of the exhaust the engine puts out... meaning the exhaust the engine puts out spends the impeller inside the housing of the turbo... its a good application for more horse power and torque but is designed for higher rpm use...

a super charger is a belt driven unit.. it runs off the under drive pulley at the front of your engine. it has good power output as well... but its in the lower end of your RPM range... and usually runs at a lower psi...

both of these setups run in many different variations... and have their own purposes...

in my opinion i would use a super charger for an everyday muscle car looking to make good reliable power...

if you have an import or a track car a turbocharger might be a better setup... or even a twin turbo charger set up

so their ya go if you have more questions feel free to holla at me

not quite 100% accurate, and the turbo is not only more efficient than any supercharger, but makes more power at the same level of boost every time. turbo is always better than supercharger.

s/c can be roots or centrifugal. roots are twinscrew and are like an upperintake that blows faster air into the intake. centri is a stand aside unit that is also belt driven, but speeds air then allows it to be entered making a higher rpm power curve than the low end twin screw.

but because s/c is belt driven, turbo will be more efficient and make more power being spun entirely off of exhaust, not belts and pulleys

awhh don't hate... i didn't give an ounce of false info... also if you do look into forced induction seriously consider an intercooler... that helps increase the power sooo much... coolder air has more density and their for more power
