got it, for the most part. i don't know the math but some one did leave it on this post earlier. so that is cool. do any of you have 3.73 or 4.10 gears? if so how are they on daily driving? is it comfortable or harsh or alittle harder but something that you can deal with? thanks for all the help guys. it has been a good learning experience.
 
right now i have 3.31's and average 30 mpg highway doing about 70. with 3.73 i heard numbers around 24-27, with 4.10's i have heard 20-24.
 
I have 4.10s. Changed from the 3.55s. I drive a lot. 48000 in a year. Have about 4,000 with the new gears. Drive a lot on the highway. go to Atlantic city about twice a month. My gas milaege has droped 2 maybe 3 miles to the gallon but i have been driving faster since i got them put on as well. i have other mods when and since i got them. 18inch rims from the 17s with nittos, Lowering springs, short throw, xpipe. So in short my car is louder period. so its hard for me to say exaclty how just the 4.10s changed my car. Other than the obvious, it accelerates a lot faster.

From a performance aspect you will love 4.10s gears. This engine loves the gear. Is it bad when it comes to driveability? No its not like you have some 4.55 or 5.00. But it isnt the 3.55s and surely not the 3.31s either. I have a problem with a rattle in my shifter so im very aggrevated with that, i know that seems random but my point is that is bugging me and its hard for me to focus on the overall "drivability" aspects of the car. (cant think of the three words, noise, something, something)

The 4.10s do make the car run at a higher rpm all the time. Cruising at 80 im at close to 3000rpms. get out on the highway and cruise at 3,000rpms if you want to know if it will annoy you. 70mph im at about 2500. I dont know if they add vibration or anything, i guess in the sense that the rpms are always up, yea. The car isnt jerky or anything if thats what you mean. If you want a cadilac than you might not like the gear. but you probably dont it to drive like a cadilac so in my opinion you will love the gear, i have never heard anyone who had 4.10s say they were sorry.... except for supercharged guys and thats just beucase they cant get traction.

So in a noise sense and vibration sense you will notice it. But in a jerky or driveability sense. no it doesnt make the car bad to drive around in. I love them and they shave like 5/10s off your 1/4 time. what else does that expcept a supercharger.
 
so what does 3.73's shave off 3/10ths??
dont know. im only going by frpp's website, and they usually dont exagerate. They say their drag pack will shave 5/10s of your 1/4 mile time and its only the power pack and the gears and a short throw. the lions share of that half second has to come from the gear. Im sure a lot of guys on here would know better than me though. I have never been down a drag strip.


Thats claim that with the stock tires on the car.
 
4.10's are unwrapped and under my tree. I can't stop looking at them.

LOL. Happy hunting. I wish i put the gears on when the rest of my car looked and sounded stock. I dont get as many challengers now since i put rims, on my car. Not that my car is fast or anything but before every kid in a honda with a muffler on it wanted to play. Man if i had those gears then.
 
On the other board that i am on gemcitystangs.com , one of our other members runs a 13.08 with 3.73 gears, sct tune, i think a prochamber, lower&upper control arms.

I run 4.10's spyder driveshaft sct livewire w/custom dyno tune and this car hauls ass 316rwhp 333rwtq. better than any ride at disneyland. If you wanna really surprise the **** outta a ricer then the acceleration from the 4.10's w spydershaft is the ticket:cool:

thanks dude, ive always wanted a 69 mach 1 my dads buddy had one while i was growing up that ran 11's it was butterscotch though. i like yours to, my uncle has a black 05 gt.
 
this is my buddy Mark's car, its lowered, he's in cali right now. He is the one that ran a 13.08 on street tires with the 3.73 gears n tune n control arms.

I got the deep dish 18/9 18/10 and the frpp springs are suppose to be the same drop as the eibach. He looks different in some way though. Ill have to post a picture of my car since its lowered and compare. His car looks sweet that. I love that look now that i have it. thank god my brakes pads are finally worn. Im gonna get some hawk pads some slotted rotors and paint my calibers red.
