Idk if anyone can help me out. I'd like to make my own, but I won't be able too. Be nice if I could find an off the shelf one.

I picked up this battery. Weighs 14lbs.

Kinetik HC700SE (KHC700SE) 12V High Current Car Audio Power Cell

I can't seem to find a tray/hold down for it? Anyone know what would work? I really really like the looks of something like this

Braille Battery Battery Mounting Kits 211 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

But I don't think the dimensions will work to pass tech at the track.. Plus I don't want my battery banging around.

Yeah that's my buddy Evan. Guy he uses I don't really care for. So I'm not going to him for one. Didn't know if anyone knew of an off the shelf one that would work

Do you drive your car daily? I have that battery and was thinking of sending it back. I daly my car and heard it would be dead in a month.

he'd still need a battery box/tray you useless post whore.

Might do good to check around local fab shops to see what they could do for you. I looked a bit and couldn't find a pre-made box or tray for it.
:headscratcher:

Calls someone post whore... Uses 3 posts to do so. Come on dude, don't be such a dick.

OP, if you can weld.... time to get to weldin'.
I'm screwing with him tiger, eat me. Sorry if you took offense, fallout. None meant. :hug

Lol!

Not looking to move to the trunk. I would, for weight distribution, but I don't want to cup up my bumper or tail light for a battery cut off.

Just in case anyone else is interested.

This is the battery I own

Kinetik HC700SE (KHC700SE) 12V High Current Car Audio Power Cell

7" height x 6.5" length x 3" width

Closest mount I can find that works is the Braille one here

Braille Battery Battery Mounting Kits 211 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

Which says it works for this Braille battery

Braille Battery No-Weight Standard Batteries B2015 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

Size is 6.1" height x 6.8" length x 3.4" width

But there's also other battery's with shorter length and smaller width that mount works for.

Only thing is the height, only an inch shorter. Looks like I can actually very easily space the top of the hold down.

So that's the plan, going to order that. Worst case if the battery I own sucks, i just buy that Braille battery I linked. More CA and CCA then my kinetic and same weight. I will keep everyone updated incase anyone wants to use the cheap kinetic battery with this mount.

Weight reduction, weight transfer, because racecar bro!

I may even be a tool and buy one of those 5lbs lithium battery's. -25lbs off the nose...

My buddy had one on his Evo which was a weekend toy sometimes in the winter even when kept on a trickle charge he would still need a jump and if it was charged by time he got to where he was goin he'd need a jump to get goin again or it'd crank over real slow. Put a stock battery in and never ever had a single problem . Just a heads up man

Oh okay, that's what I figured. You're not worried about such a tiny battery crapping out and dying on ya?

For sure, I honestly have no idea how it'll do. But for $70, I figured its worth a shot.

The battery I'll most likely buy is the Braille B2015. Same weight, more CCA and CA. and my buddy has a braille batter on his boss and fires right up. Only $200.

Thanks for the heads up man! I figured for $70 it most likely won't last long. But it's worth a shot.
