I swear that ground strap was the worst part of my entire LT install. What a whore that thing was to get off.

Lmao! Seriously wtf! That CJ pony parts video he just pulls it off. Yeah okay! I got it, now the but on the stock manifolds at the top closest to the front if the car is a mofo to get too. Of course, can't find a ratchet wrench.

This thing done yet?:potstir

Honestly you can reuse the stock gaskets.
Lol getting there!

Flex head ratchet wrench was my best friend during install. Worked awesome

Good to know, I'll have to make a trip to harbor freight tomorrow.

K member is all assembled, a arms and all. Really just need gaskets and good to go. I MAY have to take the starter out. Getting the manifold out was tricky, I may be able to finagle it in there.

On a side note, getting my gears installed March 15th , so in 2 weeks. Perfect timing before the track. Now I just need $800 to buy wheels and slicks lol

Getting installed? I thought you were going to try?

Hopefully I'll have mine in before that. I've got a few things to do you may want to consider.

I was going to, but I decided to be a puss. Guy that is doing them said its cool if I watch him. So maybe it'll be the same as the transmission deal...

Nay and nay! Just going to do the 3.90's and amsoil fluid.

I don't feel the need to weld the axle tubes. At bolt on power, they should be fine. Not sure what kind of carrier these cars have? But a cobra carrier with carbon clutches would be a good idea.

Plan is, if I do end up breaking the rear end, I'll be doing moser 31 spline axles and the cobra diff. Moser axles are a bit lighter then stock which is a nice bonus. But, the rear end should hold up fine.

Just a word of caution- AM's car twisted an axle tube with bolt ons. Wasn't pretty when it happened, either. Took me 5 minutes to do. I'll have to take pics of mine when it's out to show you.

And the carbon fiber clutches are like $100. Quite a bit stronger than the stock ones.

I thought that car snapped a whiteline relocation bracket?

I'll talk to the guys who's doing the gears, he has a lot of stuff in stock. If he has the carbon clutches I'll definitely have him do them.

I'll ask about welding the axle tubes too. Thanks man! Always helpful

They confirmed it was the axle tube. If you wanna avoid welding, a swarr bar is an option.

Orrr were they saying that so people don't stop buying WL products

:shiftyeyes

Sounds good man!

Definitely questionable lol. I haven't seen any solid proof as of yet, but I haven't look either

Thank you sir!

Lol. Idk, seems odd. I remember back in the 2v days, no one was having axle tube issues. Whether it was 600rwhp cobras, or centri 2v's making 400rwhp+

So I guess I'm a bit skeptical about it. But I will talk to the guy about possibly welding them.

Absolutely. I 100% agree. I'll keep you guys posted. For now, I just wanna get the car back together so I can hear it! Once it's back together... Maybe tomorrow depending on how much I feel like doing, I'll probably just make a new thread with the exhaust.

Hopefully whore Mother Nature will be nice, and I can get some gopro footage and not just revving it.
