Hey everyone!
Im new to the forum, though I have been reading and reading threads for a few weeks now lol. I guess the point of this post is to say hello and that I am fairly new to the mustang scene.. I bought my 2004 mustang about 2 weeks ago in Wichita, KS. I believe I am the new owner of what was once midnight04gt's idk if I got his username correct or not. But it's one heck of a car he built. Lots of fun! At some point I will put all of the mods that have been done to the car prior to me purchasing. But as of right now, still has the On3 70mm turbo and custom piping set at 8psi running about 440hp/490ftlbs (what the guy i bought it from told me it had dynoed at in Henessy, OK.) Just ordered some Lucas 76# injectors and a set of 3.73 gears. So now I am looking for a good tuner closer to my location. A friend tells me that there is a guy in Springdale MO which is about 1.5hours away.. not too bad just dont have info on him yet.. if anyone knows any tuners that are close to me please let me know! Greatly appreciated. Any info about my new car or things i could do to make it better and faster i will accept with open arms!
THANKS EVERYONE!

I saw this car on craigslist a couple weeks ago and knew it was a guy on the forum, Welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Im hoping to get my 3.73s in the car in the next couple weeks to really wake up the monster. And plan on adding boost whenever I ger my new injectors in but I'm going to have to wait to find a tuner before I can do that.. unfortunately.. really hoping to hit 500.. dont know what ill need to get there yet but I want it! I've been reading about cutouts on turbo cars and how it can up the hp fairly dramatically so I might look into getting one. Manual of course in my experience when you have too many wires running around with electricity you're bound to have some problems lol. I have magnaflow magnapacks anyone have a link to a good manual cut out?

Most with turbos making much power don't go low on rear gear. Turbos like the load with the higher gear as in 3.31. range. Depending on what you have now it may not be worth the effort especially if your gonna add boost/hp.

Yeah I would honestly wait to put in the 3.73s. Turbo cars love the long gear to spool up and run. The shorter gear is going to make you shift more often and stay out of boost. A couple of turbo guys have actually swapped from a higher gear (such as 3.73) to the stock 3.27s to increase the amount of time the car is staying in boost.

Drive it around and get used to it. You can always return the gears or sell them. It's a lot harder to swap them back out. I personally drive 4.10s on a stock car and love the gear but with more power they would be history. Way too much shifting. I would love to get spooled up and just sit back in the seat.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! You've got a ride that a lot of people on hear would die for (including me.)

You picked up a fantastic car. Congrats, man.

Sounds like you have a lot of support already. Looks like these guys are steering you in the right direction. Welcome!

The 373 gear will hurt you. Just leave the gears that are in it.
Good but though op

Im gonna end up doing some datalogging between the two sets to see which one ends up being faster.. I can see how the 3.27s can help me stay in boost longer but wouldn't the 3.73s get me to boost faster?

Well y'all talked me into it lol. Gonna keep the 327s and just refresh the oil and a couple little things since I've already got the stuff.. anyways, anybody know of a tuner near me that is good with turbod cars? Should be getting my new injectors in the mail tomorrow or Monday so I'm really wanting to find somewhere so I can get them in and get it tuned for more fuel and get some more boost flowin

If you want to " wake the monster up" put a built stalled 4r70w auto in it. That will be the best mod you can do for a turbo car.
