just called CHP and and get there dominator shortblock, its a dart block..and its like high $2k's...then just save to custom build top end..or put stock top end on for now and get a cheap 150shot for it...i'd rather a block than a built 306 thats gunna die...

With how inexpensive building a 408 is, I can't believe why everyone would choose a 347. You can have a 408 for less than an aftermarket block 347 and it will be just as strong.

not to shabby i'll look into it......

i was thinking about starting right and doing suspension
This would be your BEST bet. Spend the money on the cars weakest points first (if it hasnt been done already). You'll be much better off in the future when you build your bullet, and already have a good chassis and suspension, ive been there, take my word for it. I think your suspension should come first, along with chassis stiffening. ;)

The money you eventually spend on a 347, would probably be better spent on a 351 based combination. Just so you know.

just saying the 347 will make more power....plus i don't know how many miles is on the 306 and how the cylinder walls look
A supercharger for a 306 will work on a 347. Since it is a 306 it has been rebuilt and I'm going to assume it is relatively low mileage so everything should be in great shape. I wouldn't hesitate to put a supercharger on a 302 or 306. My buddy ran superchargers on stock shortblocks for years and made insane horsepower with them. I think a supercharger would give you a chubber.

I would do like jordan and some other guys are saying......so ahead and use the money on a performance block or a whole short block.....go ahead and go with a boss block or something like that so you dont have to worry about it on down the road is the way i look at it......because your gonna end up goin over 500 hp and you know it

yes but ryan pose's a great point...a 351w stroker would be alot cheaper and you can run over 500hp with stock block..my only reasons why i wont go 351w base stroker is cuz you have to get diffeent headers, oil pan, mounts and too much ****..another 302 stroker is just another dump right in..but 351w would be a great idea for ya WT...cuz you can land a 351 pretty cheap...land all the 351w fox swap parts for under $1k and then do some nitrous or something

btw you wanna do carb or EFI?
