We're going to have some pretty sweet cars this summer hahaha. These motors are pretty easy to pull. I usually can have it all out in a day, strip the engine down to a block in another day but its the reassembly that takes a while. Sooo many measurements, plus I had to get the crank polished, block cleaned and spec'd. Then I had to get my rotating assembly balanced the gauge every clearance haha. It better run good this year.

I hope so! We are dropping mine, figured it would be easier because of the long tubes. Im sure the bottom end was a bitch to assemble but is the top half that bad? When i did the pi cams and intake it didnt take long at all. The heads didnt seem like it would be much more. Im hoping my bottom end is fine when i pull it all apart.

Dropping it would be nice hahaha.

Bottom end was the long part, had to check every clearance and endplay. Just time consuming. Top end it easy. Stupid prosses for torqueing head bolts but its not hard. Timing chains were tricky the first time I ever did them. Just make sure the keyway it faceing up atv12 o'clock for safe mode. Leaving all the pistons below deck. Once you have the heads bolts on you can rotate the cams freely to line up the timing marks. Do NOT move the crank till you chains are all installed though. If you need help let me know!

Hahah yeah man, i ALMOST forget to put the starter on before dropping it in, that would have been hell lol. But it went in real smooth so hopefully it runs that well lol.

Between school and work im trying to have it at least running by next sunday.

Yeah I had to do it under the car once, that bolt sat in my glovebox till I pulled he engine last year hahahahah.

Anyways im getting pretty pissed off with the gauges. The coolant temp is already on a tube nut so I have to drill a rather large hole in my firewall apparently. Then I couldnt find my adapter for my hole saw so I can finish my gauge pod. Which so far is turning out well. And I am using the one temp sensor hole on my intake cross over for my new gauge and teed the other too, ECU and fan.

The plastic is black, its just the white tape layer from when I bought it.

Heres how the gauges are turning out. Just gotta finish up the oil pressure and water temp connections. Shouldnt take very long. I dont have an exam this week, just lits of assignments so im aiming to having it idle by the end of the weekend. Then hopefully a tune the following week. We'll see though.

Yeah im slowly getting there. Almost done the gauges, finishing the wiring tomorrow. Half way done it. Hooked up trans, all the accessories, driveshaft and a bunch of other stuff. Heres a picture of the gauges, still have to finish it into the console.

Oh and I got larger injectors. I bought 24s locally, guy ended up giving me 18lb volvo injectors so I texted him and told him, he was a super nice guy, he gave me 36lb EV1 injectors to make up for it. So im pleased.
