Well, you could definitely make 300hp at the crank with a serious N/A setup... maybe even 300whp if you went all out.

However, F/I is a simpler, more common way of getting there.

i doubt it and its yet to be done
maybe a crazy 13:1 compression ratio and serious head work and intake work
race gas no doubt cause 13:1 wont live on pump gas to long

I am going to beat all of you to 300 rwhp N/A.......... haha
i'd like to see the day that setups built i dont think anyones passed 260rwhp

in regaurds to the thread
300rwhp is nothing for our blocks
s/c or turbo should take you there no prob
im getting a dyno for my car on 8.7psi friday should be around 300rwhp
with a s/c stock motor i'd say you'd need 10-12 psi and a tune

im on a canned base tune

ya right Hipo is the most likly canadet to do it and he will be most likly be braking the N/A dyno record in afew months and even then it is still uncerten of his abilaty to get 300+

his combo is nice but i dont see him getting 300rwhp
hes auto too :(
i hear what ur saing and well the only way to know is wate and see what the dyno says.
my main point was that he is much more likly to hit the 300 mark, and sooner then 99v6stang

Yea i was just joking, all im getting is my new cam(havent decided what yet), rpm-mustangs ported big valve heads, 01 upper and lower windstar intakes, and 65mm halfshafted throttle body. Im just hoping for 250rwhp, then come graduation its m112 time

250 is a solid more reachable goal
what compression are you running

I'm pretty sure that SSM made ~270whp, but I agree with you in principle. I wouldn't expect to make more than ~230-240whp w/ a H/C/I 3.8...

they made 260rwhp and i think 261rwtq

h/c/i the stage 2 has been netted about 220rwhp area with plenty cars
h/c/i maybe 230 but 240 i dont see it happening

edit i thought you meant you expect it to make more

But whitemustang02 i will beat you to 250
if u don't that will be sad becaues u already have a 4.2, all i have i ssome basic boltons and a plan.

Could be... But like I said, I agree overall.

I can certainly see 230's or 240's... for instance, mine makes 220whp w/ just Heads, cam, and a couple bolt-ons... but much more is relatively rare.

first off you shouldnt pay alot of attention to a friend that "is just now getting into cars".

second, any time you more than double your power, the bottom end is going to be a ticking time bomb.
Wrong.

you might be able to squeeze 300 HP out of a super charger with just a tiny bit of work... new pistons and rods and a rebuilt rear end will be required
Wrong again.

I don't think chris is on new pistons and rods or a rebuild rear end and he has to be at or right under it.(295)

i didnt even notice you had heads and cam:cool:
Yep... that's how I (unfortunately) know about the symptoms and consequences of an improperly drilled cam oil passage, like we were discussing in the other thread. :(
