Looking to upgrade my exhaust a bit for better sound. I already have an xpipe but the rest is stock. Should I just have the resonators installed ($200) or buy the whole catback system ($600). Is the cost difference worth it or will they both accomplish the same results? Any inputs are appreciated. Thanks!

Sound wise, you'll have a deeper tone with the catback. Also, you'll get nice looking tips.

I have the SLP LM2 catback with a catted x pipe and it sounds very nice.

I just went ahead and ordered the catback system. I'm going to be running the lm1's with bbk o/r x pipe. This thing is going to be beastly!

That's the loudest setup possible on these cars. Have fun.

Fingers crossed that Im not going to regret this. Im already running some kind of flowmasters (was on the car when bought) with a bbk catless x pipe and I want more. We shall see next week :)

I had slp 1 on my v6 and the first 2 weeks it was calm but when they broke in it got way louder, same with my m80s on my bullitt now , simular too slps, youl see, dont expect it to sound like it does when you first install it, it will get wayy louder lool

I got the resonators and i love them. of course im running longtubes as well. There is only a certain rpm range where it bugs me but other than that i love how it sounds full throttle. but thats just me :dunce: Others say they hate it lol.

I loved the way my lm1 sounded when i had cats, once the cats were gone i hated the sound. Just super obnoxious and raspy. I highly recomend cats or a prochamber, but thats just my .02

Don't get me wrong, I am looking for a loud car. More than what I have now. I may end up doing a prochamber if it gets to be too much. I'm getting anxious. Hearing all the people saying they love this setup and others say it's horrible. Ups cannot come quick enough.

+1 , theres a difference, Im probably going to put cats when I get it supercharged because any rpm 1000 -2000 , its fckin loud lool, and drony on the highway but I can live with it for now and enjoy it, cops dont do **** around here for muscle, imports tho they all get raped if they go no cats :naughty:

if not to late the borla stingers sounds boss if you want to do those

Installed the exhaust today at work. It was late and we were rushing to get it in. I have a rattle somewhere and it's driving me crazy. Other than that I'm pleasantly surprised with the sound. It doesn't drone nearly as bad as it did with the flowmasters.

If it sounds like the exhaust is hitting/rattling against something there is really only two places that can happen. That is at the frame rails right over the axles. Check that and if they are touching the rails loosen the clamps on the cat back and readjust it
