People have DD'd their bama ghost cams for tens of thousands of miles with no issues. But, I would say that you should invest into something with some better driveability. Bama is good to get your feet wet, but you'll want something better down the road.

I started with them. But, i think after i get my boss intake on (last mod for awhile. Only thing else on the list that would need a tune would be injectors and a turbo) I'm going to go with another company.

The tune from them sounds good and it gets up and moves. But, I feel like there is a lot left in it. And the driveability is god awful. Car bucks under deceleration, stalls out if I even look at reverse, etc.

This is the second sticky I have had to refer you to. Search the forums before posting questions that have been answered a dozen times already.

Also, Bama's tunes lately have been crap. There are plenty of others who don't have issues to choose from. And if you were thinking BBK for the cat deletes, they leak like a bitch. Jegs does a much better job.

My buddy switched from a Bama tune to brenspeed tune. Bama was LEAN at wot. Like high 14's low 15's. Brenspeed was like 12.2-12.5 and car with just a catback only made 400rwhp same dyno as me. I'd recommend them. Of course AED/rev auto/JPC as well.

Most still have access to SCT's tuning software. Lund has his own tuner coming out soon, and some like the Diablo (although not many). But call around to a few different tuners, and get a feel for what they like. One thing you don't want to do is buy a tuner (device) that a tuner (the guy) doesn't support.

Congratulations on the new ride! It sounds great. Definitely post up some pictures so we can check it out!

Tuning your Mustang is tough when it comes to your Warranty. There is a ton of different stories and opinions out there. It really comes down to the dealer. A dealer can't just void your warranty because you tuned the vehicle. They would have to prove that the tune did harm to your vehicle, which is nearly impossible. If you go in there for a broken axle, they can't void your warranty because you tuned the vehicle. Those two things have nothing to do with each other. I hope that makes sense?

I would recommend giving the local dealerships a call near you and see what they think. A lot of service managers are okay with it and won't give you any trouble.

Hope this helps!

It sounds like your friends Mustang wasn't going into fuel enrichment mode at all? High 14's and low 15's is right around stoich for cruising.. There had to of been a corrupted file or some sort with your friends can because no tuner commands stoich for WOT. I know Bama focuses on .84 Lambda for these cars, which is about 12.5:1.

Do you still use a sct tuner and load the tunes or do you need something different

You'll need an SCT or Diablosport tuner to hold custom tunes from any tuner. The tuner will just store the tunes and you can upload whichever one you prefer to use or test.

I think you'll be very happy with our Bama Performance tunes. We've recently revised our 11-14 GT tunes to be smoother and more powerful than before. In which we've seen a lot of positive feedback from our customers.

Hit me up if you have any other questions!

Not to disagree with Dan on the warranty, but it's real easy to tell if a car is tuned, if you know what you are looking for. I've had to void the warranty on two cars since the Coyote came out, and it's no fun. But when you have severe engine damage because of a bad tune, it's what is needed.

What positive feedback? Every one here on this forum with a Bama tune seems to be having issues, from lack of power to surging to you name it.

Guys, please don't take this the wrong way. I just see things from a different point of view.

No Bama.

Go good or go home.

I just sold my GT500 Axlebacks and am ordering an AED tune soon with that $$.

You guys should really stop with the "we don't command the car to do that" nonsense.

For whatever reason your tuning team still seems 100% unclear on how to deal with the issue with the stock Ford tune for going stoich at WOT for a flat torque curve.

This is a good way to blow engines and the reason you do.

You guys also spend a lot of time saying, "we don't command that much timing" while dataloggs of your tunes are not uncommon to see +33° and higher timing from cars while spirited driving on pump gas.

Yet you are the ONLY big name tuner with these issues.

Lund, AED, VMP, Etc. Do not have these problems. Just you!

Wonder who the culprit is. I've also yet to be on a forum concerning the 2011+ stangs that has praised your tuning capabilities by more than 1% of its users.

We've had a lot of positive feedback about our Bama Tunes across all the Mustang Forums. If you try a few searches, you'll certainly find some threads. I do understand there has been negative threads in the past, but that doesn't mean there's no positive ones, nor does it mean most of our customers aren't happy with the tunes. That's simply not the case.

You'll also notice I mentioned in my original thread that we've recently revised all of our 11-14 GT tunes. There were a few inconsistent instances where we found the ignition timing escalating too high and/or the power enrichment mode wasn't kicking in due to a corrupted file. However, this issue was 100% fixed with our most recent revamped Bama tunes. The revised tunes have been used for about the past 2months and yes, we've had a lot of positive feedback from them!
