I remember reading an article on the web about installing them urself without buying a kit, it involved buy a circuit board and wiring it up yourself, but i cant seem to remember/find the article, anyone know it?

It always feels beter when you do it yourself but you can buy them from here for less than $60 with free shipping and they take about the same amount of time to install. The only problem with making them yourself is you dont get a lifetime warranty.

check out this site-awesome company..good Luck

The kit I bought doesn't blink when the brakes are applied...I bought the plug and play type though.

The way it works is it goes 1-2-3, 1-2-3 while the turn signals or hazards are on, but when the brakes are applied it goes 1-2-3, then solid.
That isn't true with mine. They go 3-2-1 (outer bulb to inner bulb)when braking and stay on. some on the market may be different. But all the brands I've seen work this way.

i have the plug and play version. much cleaner install VS DIY. sure it is hidden by the light covers.....mine go blinky-blinky when turning or hazards, but solid for braking.

mine do this also, when i bought the car they were on it. it would be kinda cool i guess if it did it with the brakes instead of the blinkers ... maybe lol
