well I am selling my 05 mustang gt this next week. I have put tons of money and time into my car and basically I have everything done to my car except a forged bottom end to make some pretty big power.

As of right now my car makes 485rwhp with a vortech supercharger, cammed, exhaust. Im selling my car for 15,500$

the car im going to get I was told about from a friend of mine.

the story on the car is that his friend picked the car up from a guy who blew the motor spraying nitrous. the car is a silver 04 cobra with 24k miles.

the guy that bought the car built a motor for it put a hellion single 76mm on it. has a solid rear end swap ect.

cars about to get tuned in a week or so and will be ready for sale. the guy is asking 24k for the car. good deal or not?

24k pass. You can get a coyote with less than 20k for that money.

You're only asking / hoping to get $15,500? How many miles do you have?

It's an upgrade to a Cobra but for that kind of money I think you could make your Mustang a lot cooler and faster. Just a thought.

Personally I'd rather have a custom, wildly modded '05 over an '04 Cobra. I think you should use the cash to continue building the '05. Plus I agree, I think $24K is too much for an '04 Cobra.

I always get hate for my opinion on this but I don't buy into the Terminator hype. The only reason they were great at the time is because of the forged parts and factory eaton. You can easily slap those parts on an S197 and have a faster better handling car instead of an abused 12 year old car with a chassis that was designed prior to 1979.

Yes abort mission...You are losing in this deal I mean unless that cobra was flawless, the suspension had been changed and the car was built to the teeth with over 1000rwhp and daily drives like a honda civic. Which it does non of that so keep your car which looks better by the way and build that monster to look, handle and run harder than that car with a car you know all about already. That other car could have mogwai's running through it.LOL. If you do not want your car anymore then get a coyote trust me that car is a monster.I found a 1 owner 2011 coyote, manual and 55k miles leather for 21k

I appreciate all the honesty guys.

My reason for being so interested is because the car is being built to make 1000rwhp on e85, it is low miles with a motor in it with just break in miles and everything have been gone through and checked over. My friend the told me about the car knows the guy pretty well and thinks it would be a great car. Everything on the car has been upgraded to handle the power as well with zero miles on all the mods.

The car wouldn't be my daily driver and the reason I'm selling my 05 is to go faster. 485rwhp just isent going to cut it anymore.

What would be a good price to talk the guy down to?

Despite all of the work in the car, it's maybe worth half of what he's asking. I know he won't sell it for that so IMO it's not worth looking at. If you want go fast and have the cash for it (good luck financing that car), then buy a 2V, pull the engine and build a motor yourself, you'll save about 15 grand.

I think you have tunnel vision. Who builds a car, breaks it in. Then flips it? Buying someone's project also comes with their problems.

I agree the coyote is a better car but he specifically wants more power than he has which a stock coyote doesn't have. Personally I'd keep the s197 and build the bottom end and go from there. If you do wanna get the cobra I wouldn't pay near that 24k for a car that has been abused enough to blow the motor.

I know this was in regards to my comment, this is what I said first.

I agree, just pointing out exactly how much money it could buy OP.
