ATV vs. Mustang GT

That may be true, but no way would my 5yr old Yamaha beat my stang in a 1/4 mile, maybe in the 60ft mark but definitely not the 1/4. lol, maybe I need to get a better quad??

Look at the Raptor 660R...That quad is fast as $hit...

I've seen mx bikes beat streed rods alot...

I used to live in Lander wy... one of the guys there had a BEE-U-TIFUL 1970 GTO.. 400, blower, narrowed rear, slicks... just all around a sweet ride set to roll stoplight to stoplight....

and I watched him get owned 3 times in a row by a Yamaha YZ490.. one of the old air-cooled ones even.....

Not reaaly sure where you guys are getting your HP numbers on the quad but no way does a quad have 125 HP maybe around 50-60HP but not 125. Also the weight of them is around 300 pounds. I have both a raptor 660 and YZ450F and they are fast as hell and could probably take a GT in a real short distance race due to the acceleration you can get out of them.

Yah I dont think a kodiak 450 could take a GT. It's one of those 4x4 hunting quads right? If its the one im thinking then your right it would not take a GT because it simply wasnt designed to race like the raptors and YZF's were.

Not real sure what the top speed on the raptor or YZF are I've never gone that fast on them I just dont feel safe on quads I prefer my dirtbike because when you crash at least it wont crush you like a quad will. The RM 250 I have will get about 70 MPH flat out on the drylake and the quads still pull on it so i'm gonna guess its aroud 80-90 MPH as the top speed for them.

My son's atv is a lot heavier than the raptors. He didn't want anything for racing just something to goof off on. The Kodiak is about the best in it's class. Atleast that's what all my gun magazines say. I read a few articles on them before he bought his. Since it stays in my shed.

Do you hunt? My dad hunts alot but they always get kicked out because they try and use the sandrail to carry the animals. As far as toys go we live in Socal so we have just about one of everything for offroad even though there isnt really any spots to ride them.

Not anymore unfortunately can't hunt anymore. I'm disabled hell it hurts me to ride his atv. But sometimes I still do can't roll over and die. That's part of the reason I got the drop top Mustang. So I can still get some fresh air. Well a few months out of the year. It ain't suuny Calf. down here.

I also got my mustang to take me a away from riding so much. I'm only 18 but already have a shot knee from riding. I love riding but can't screw my knee up much more or the doctor said I would need surgery to fix it.
