oh and also brendan, when you beat the **** out of cars things break. That is a big thing i learned in all my years of racing now. There is no way around it and not much you can do. If you don't want stuff to break then don't be so hard on the car. So always have in mind no matter how much you paid for something or how strong you think it is it can always break. If you are racing your car constantly and only have to get your tranny rebuilt every 3 years then you are doing good. I have been racing for 5 and have gone thru 4. But i think with as bad as you drive lol, that the tranny should last a few years which isn't bad.
Thanks for all the info... you know I appreciate it. Are you going to be in the area for the next few months or are you moving?

i am moving on the 9th of feb.
That's too bad... spring MM barbecue is coming up.

I'm going to Hooters tomorrow night for all you can eat wings with a friend... want to join and hang out one last time before you move?

how much do you trust the guy that is offering to build it for you? promotion dont have a problem selling you their stuff, its just up to you. as for the input, how much power you plan on making? the biggest thing on the input shaft survival is going to be the clutch. if you have the other guy build it, i would recomend having promotion set you up with a clutch. mine did the whole 3/4 without using clutch thing too. leaving work one morning, the trans decided to get stuck in reverse and had to go get the trailer to get it home. i know my trans is doing great, i have no complaints about my purchase.

I decided to have Rick rebuild it. He said he will either order the parts needed from Promotion or from FRPP, whichever is cheaper and more available. I'm also going to have my differential fluid changed with a new gasket, it's been having a very slow leak over the past year. Also changing my 3" exhaust tips to 4" stainless steel polished ones, and having him weld in my electronic exhaust cutouts. I'll do the wiring myself.

Called Rick's Car Care the other day and the car is supposed to be done today or tomorrow. I'm going to install the wiring and switch for the e-cutouts tomorrow (Friday) and put in the carpet as well. Still waiting on my custom seat brackets from Wedge Engineering, those are supposed to be in tomorrow or Monday, so the new seats will have to wait until then. I can't wait to hear the car with the cutouts and see my new exhaust tips.
