I removed my hood vents and plastidipped them. I'm going to leave them a while and see how I like them. I will probably take them off again and paint them later.

I can dig it.

I plastidipped my 5.0 emblems. No pics yet but I think they look good.

Well finally got the car out for a rip. Over the last few days I've installed a MGW shifter, VMP dual fan heat exchanger, had my grille shroud paint matched, oil change (amsoil 10w 30 100% syn signature series) and changed transmission fluid ( motorcraft QDC). I gotta say....the MGW shifter is a dream. Always hated 2-3 shift with the stk shifter when putting the power down. Not anymore, the shifter does all the work....love it. Installation was a bit more difficult and different than in the MGW vid due to the 4" dss driveshaft. Not much room left to work with. The VMP H E with dual 10" fans moves some serious air....gonna b pretty valuable on hot days I'm sure. The installation was no easy task though, lots of cutting/trimming the front bumper to get that bad boy to fit in there. Also had to make new lower grille mounts to clear the H E.....PiTA! With everything said and done, I couldn't b happier......in the end 0 issues.

Cheers!
Rob

Got pulled over today. Cop was totally cool, we talked about concealed carry and stuff, then he let me go- no ticket.

The 5.0 has been christened. lol

I plasti dipped my Shelby wheels. They are actual svt wheels, so i don't want to get ride of them. I have thought about power coating black chrome. Need to install my springs, they are just collecting dust.

Finding out more and more just how bad the stock tune is. Are these cars renowned for having a major lag in throttle response?
That's just drive-by-wire in general, nowhere near what cable-driven throttle is like, but a tune will severely cut down the throttle response time, that is an actual parameter in the tune.
Don't expect it to ever be as instant as the cable-driven throttle in a 2V though. I was pretty disappointed when I bought my '11GT.
But with the tune it really woke up.

Mine isnt too bad, i mean its still drive by wire and isnt like my mach 1 was, but its by no means unmanagable.

Just a week or so until that gets tuned out tho lol.

RIGHT SUNNY (check your PMs...again)

Looks good. I have the same wheels in chrome. Thinking bout doing something a little different with mine though instead of the classic red/black theme.

I agree on the terrible throttle response but like said before, that's normal for drive by wire. I'm hoping that a tune will wake mine up but I'm more than happy with the power my car has at the moment. I want to focus more on handling first. I don't know about anyone else but these cars seem a little "loose" if you will at high speeds.

If you think the lag in throttle response is bad on our Mustangs, you should drive a newer Jeep JK(2012 - up). I stalled mine numerous times, the first few months, until I finally got used to it.

No freaking joke. There's an easy 1-1.5 second lag. Not even exaggerating. Need to pass someone? Better plan on having extra room. I will never, ever own one.

I dont think they are too bad TBH. Ive had mine up close to 130 and it felt fine, mind you- i was paying attention more to what was in front of me not how the car felt, lol.

Most of my mod plans are suspension too.

Ok thank god, I think may be investing in a tune sooner than I thought.

So is this the one time where it's actually cool to be an "old school" 2v dude in the 11-14 section? Lmao!
