I took my blower off today because I had a screw loose and it was leaking oil. I tightened everything up and started it up and it started knocking.. And it's definitely coming from the blower because when you put your hand on it you can feel it knocking internally. It was fine when I drove it into the garage which doesn't make sense. Then after I ran the car for a little bit it just stopped...
Really sketchy..

Now I'm not sure if this is what you consider shaft play but this is what I got.

What do you guys think about this? The blowers from 01' so its due to be rebuilt I just don't get why it would start doing this for no reason after I pulled it and put it back on. I was thinking maybe it took a min or two for it to get filled with oil again?

You can't catch a damn break man.

Edit: **** my diagram, I think you're fine personally. If it goes away once it's warm, I wouldn't worry too much. Keep an eye on your AFR and oil levels.

dude Charline sucks, first my fuel problems, and now my rear end is howling like a bastard anything over 40 and then my blower started leaking and now this... Still love the car though, so much fun to boost around :p and I keep it clean.

It does sound like the shaft is a bit loose for some reason. That second video showed it was making a pretty decent loud clunking noise when you moved it with your hand, so that's probably what you hear in the first video. You should be ok, specially when it warms up it'll fix itself b/c of expansion and all. Just don't push it hard while its cold and it'll last awhile.

Try and see how much a rebuild is, or a new unit if possible. Just in case this one dies you have a back up ready to go.

Yea i've been planning to rebuild it soon, I just need it to last like another month or so because I have to rebuild the rear end again too. I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do to rebuild it. Because some of the impeller fin tips are bent a little bit and it might need a new one which is about 1k for a rebuild then.
