Meh... looks decent, but for the price they'll be offering it for (I'm assuming at least $60k) we all can make one hell of a 2v to eat up those hellcats and be hungry for more. ****, 30k into a 2v would be insane let alone double that.
I'd take that Hellcat over any 2V.

There is something to be said for refinement.

I hear this same thing from ricer boys. It goes something like this, "You spent $30k on your Mustang and if I put $10k into my $5k Civic it will blow the doors of your Mustang." :hidinghere:

But I agree, $30k into a 2V would be insane. If you're going to spend that amount of money, get rid of the 2V.

I don't believe this statement from Honda guys. FWD is awful to hook up with a lot of power, even on drag radials. It still takes a pretty good driver as well.

You missed the point. The point is that the argument of "I could spend $XX and put it into my car that costs less and make it faster" is a retarded argument. At the end of the day, one person is driving a cheap vehicle that they spent a stupid amount of money on to make fast and the other person is driving a nice fast car with a warranty .

I don't think I missed it, I agree 100%. Just saying I hear the same from Honda guys and they never seem to see traction as a real issue.

If your shopping for a hellcat or gt500 your not going to be looking to mod a
2v
Why would I want to eat up some Gt500s?

Also, if you traitors want to go drive a $60k price tag piece of **** then by all means leave this forum and go join theirs. I much rather have my 2v, as it currently sits vibrating like a mother ****er with shitty motor mounts and an almost solid urethane trans mount, over the hellcat. Something called "why the **** would i want a $60k car payment" and "why would i want to get rid of my mustang?" and who cares about a warranty? As soon as you mod the car its void, and don't even try to tell me you wouldn't mod it at all. First thing most anyone would do is the air intake components, and exhaust trying to get it to breathe better and sound better.

lol, i'll make all the "if i could spend" statements I want. The point is, most people on this forum can't afford a $60k car in the first place. Go to the 99-04 forum, tons of people riding around in 3-10k cars, very few near the 20k mark, with maybe a dozen who actually have a good amount of money they don't mind spending on their cars. Also, if I did buy a $60k car, it wouldn't be a ****in Hellcat. It would be a red and black drop top super snake. Not some shitty Challenger.

Opinions are like assholes and apparently you have a stinky one. :D

There is something to be said for refinement.
Refinement? You mean being like a large part of society that buys new cars every year because they look new and to keep up with the times and "refinement"? Do you wear a dress and belong in the kitchen? The 99-04 2v is anything but perfect, but that's what makes it awesome. Who would want a "perfectly refined" car that they can't customize and make their own different from others? **** refinement. I'd take a 89 LX 5.0 hatchback with a good amount of power and money into it over the hellcat any day. You can keep your refinement at the cost of your manhood.

My point is, the market these cars are selling to isnt someone debating on weather to mod a 5k car or buy a new 60k car.

If we all thought the way you do there would only be 64 1/2 mustangs around. I mean whats the point of buying a new car when you can just mod the original.

Besides think about when these cars start depreciate in 10 years and rich dudes trade them in. There's gonna be 600+Hp used cars for sale in the 20k - 25k dollar range. That's a win win in my book.

That is true. But it seems no matter how new or old a Mopar is, parts for them are WAY more expensive.

IMO, I think the GT500s still look better than the Challengers. I have no brand loyalty, well let me rephrase that, I have no AMERICAN brand loyalty, I am a car guy. And can appreciate any nice car someone has built, whether Ford, Dodge or Chevy. I can also see this as Ford stepping their game up a tad more to surpass this and come out with some ridiculous Shelby here soon once again.

I have heard that it will be getting the Laguna Leather that is in the Viper so the interior quality should be up a good bit from the regular SRT8.

Traitors? No, I don’t think so. More like someone who isn’t such a big fan boy that they can see something that is truly badass and congratulate the people who built it. Point is if you are in the market for a “muscle car” by today’s standards and you have 60k to spend you are going to be looking at either the GT500, ZL1, or either of the 2 SRT8 offerings all of which are equally awesome cars and each have their own merits as to why they are awesome cars. Venture into the 2011-2014 forum or hell any other part of the forum and you will see plenty of guys who have cars that are worth more than 20k and some guys here who have put just that much into their cars in mods. Jump to more of extreme modding forums like S197 and you can find guys who have put 70k into their cars, hell I know a guy who has put 120k+ into his car . I really don’t see your point about the whole price thing though maybe you can elaborate on that just a bit more. I think you are just basically saying that people here can’t afford $60,000 based on the kinds of cars they currently drive.

The whole I can spend this amount of money statements seem a bit stupid to me just because you are taking a car that is designed and engineered by the manufacturer to meet a broad range of requirements and comparing it to a car that you feel beats that car. If you want to spend the 50+k on your 2V to meet the same standards that the stock Hellcat gets in terms of ride, handling (which shouldn’t be too hard) interior appointments, tech, engine power, quickness than by all means be my guest. Take that person who put $120,000 into his car (I forget if that included the price of the car or not) now does that car match up to say something like a C63 AMG Black Series? In the quarter mile it will ship it by about a second and change but on a road course or interior quality refinement fit and finish, it doesn’t stand a chance.

Let me get this straight, just because I have a car that doesn’t have a harsh rid, that doesn’t vibrate because it doesn’t have shitty motor mounts and because it has air condition and solid transmission mounts or spherical bearings makes you less of a man? Get the **** out of here with that bullshit lol! I will take my Laguna Seca with my comfy Recaro seats, adjustable suspension, squeak and rattle free interior, and ~390HP and go rip around the track in comfort and style thank you very much. Nope, refinement as in purchasing a car off the showroom floor, go punch in the address to their local dragstrip into their GPS while listening to Pandora with the air conditioning on and not have a harsh ride or squeaks or rattles and turn a supposed 11.1@130 (no idea if that’s true or not) and go head home at the end of the day and take off the window sticker and put on some better tires. Or hell even go and purchase your GT500 off the showroom floor and go run low 11’s @ 127 all in a nicely refined package. You can go ahead and buy that Super Snake but you are going to have to turn in your man card though before you do because according to you it is too refined.

Hell yeah! You can go ahead and get some low mile GT500’s for just north of 25k if you are patient. The deals are out there you just have to look out for them. In a couple of years all of these high hp cars will trade owners from the rich to us poor slobs lol.

Ooooo...I'm sorry man, did I make your ass hurts......?

Ok guy.

*Bold - Obviously not, which is why I have...wait for it...a 2V.

You're in a small minority of people who would take a 25 year old, outdated Mustang over the most powerful muscle car ever. Dodge or not.

I also fail to see how having a 700hp Dodge Challenger requires me to turn in my man card. Above all, I'm a car guy, not some brand loyal pole smoker.

2v.... i have a 2v mustang and that car is a such a turd, biggest pos i have own,i try to give mine away no one is looking at it,and my car is almost show room condition,I'm sorry if i hurt someone feelings but i really to think that the 2v mustangs are one of the worst mustangs ever made.

You sound a little mad and defensive. Perhaps you should take a few days off the internetz.

I never gave my opinion on the hellcat and said if I did or didn't like it. All I said was the excuse of "if I spent $XX upgrading my car to the same price it would be faster" is a ricer excuse.

Opinions are like assholes and you know what they say about assumptions (like the ones you make).
