Can I use SN-95 A-Arms? Have SN-95 R axles... Want it wide...
You can use whatever you want if you don't care where the car will end up for classing.

In the SCCA those modifications will land you in Street Modified or C-Prepared. Some regions now offer a "Classic American Muscle" or "Modern American Muscle" class that focuses on domestic produced front engined, RWD cars on 200 treadwear street tires. There are a few stipulations like a minimum curb weight (3000lbs) and the 200 treadwear tires but it is pretty open from a suspension standpoint.

Not sure how it would be class in NASA Autocross though...

Will the '95 A-arms fit the QA1 k-member? I've heard that the QA1 geometry of their k-members aren't quite right and you have to use a modified A-arm to correct it. Anyone have this problem?? Thanx

K-Member takes you out of SM and in CP you have a weight penalty.

Personally I don't like the idea of using a QA1 in autocross, seeing one in person, I don't think it'd last long...

I answered the question based upon information provided in the body of the text which asked about 1994 front a-arms and spindles which by themselves would put him in SM if they were not factory.

The K-Member definitely puts you in CP and I would double, and triple check the CP rules about the weight penalty. I specifically remember 2 years ago them removing the weight penalty for alternative K-Members in CP. One of our locals was thrilled.

NO PENALTY...... Second guessing selling mustang to get better ESP car..

might want to double check with the SEB because they told me 10% weight penalty of your minimum weight in class which for me is 2750 + 275 = 3025...

It's not in the rule book and I specifically remember the FasTrack saying the weight penalty in CP was removed for alternative K-members about a year and change ago.

Anyone have a road-race k-member suggestion for a fox-body Mustang? Other than MM? I realize MM is the best and most preferred, but I'm a beginner and need a lot of stuff... Unless someone has a good used one! Thanx all for your input!

Is there a reason why MM isn't an option for you?

if you're a beginner you don't need a k member at all. you need seat time IMO.

Whiskey11, which k-member are you using... MM is just too far out of my budget, for everything else I need!
Stock! ;) I race in one of those restrictive classes that doesn't allow K-Member swaps and the S197's front suspension geometry isn't nearly as bad as the Fox/SN95 cars are to need a K-Member to fix it.

iRoush is now running the MM K-Member with Forward Offset MM A-Arms and coilovers on his SN95. I know saving is a pain, but when it comes to wanting to do corner carving, I wouldn't risk any other K-Member than MM, Griggs, Cortex, or maybe the Agent47 ones and none are cheap. Buy once, cry once as the phrase goes.
