Wheel color?

Pics Added, Wheel color?

The wheels on my car are almost perfect except that the PO used a cleaner that corroded and stained the back side of the wheels. I think he may of used an acid based chrome wheel cleaner on them and it stayed on too long. The chrome is perfect BTW. My question is since I have to refinish the back of the wheels, what color. My previous 08 with the chrome bullets I painted vapor silver to match the body. I'm wondering if the vista blue on the back of these wheels would be too much. Other colors I've considered are black or silver.

i wouldn't hate on color matched wheels... nothing like a white saleen with white saleen wheels. or yellow and yellow.

I wonder if some people misread my post thinking I was painting the front of the wheels body color. Any way I think the Anthracite silver suggestion is interesting. May go with that.

Anthracite could work, as well as black. The latter would really make the chrome pop.

The wheels really were a mess with corrosion under the flaking chrome. If not for the need to use stick on weights I probably would of painted them with some sort of texture coating. Can't wait to see the anthracite metallic in the sunlight. I used a single stage urethane which should hold up for a while. Pretty easy mod if you have patience, taping up the wheels so you have a clean edge where paint meets chrome took most of the time. Tape trick for those who have interest in doing something like this. Tape beyond the edge your masking and use a single edge razor to cut the tape edge exactly at the edge. This gives a perfect clean tape line without much trouble.

I'm a little late for this conversation, but if they are like the stock cobra chrome wheels you can strip that color and underneath it's virgin chrome.
