My mods are 3.73 gears, intake, x pipe, cat back, TB plenum, 93 octane tune.

I went to the 1/8th mile and was making back to back 9.372, 9.376, etc, my trap speed was right at 79 80mph, I was slipping horribly through first, second, and chirped third.

I know my tires suck, but how much of an increase in my trap speed and et do you guys thing i would notice?

You mean with good tires? your E.T. will get a little quicker and your speed will be a little slower with good tires

If you hook off the line, your MPH is going to be a little slower because your wasting less time spinning. When I had N555Rs My trap speed was way higher than it is now

can somebody please explain, because when you spin, your not going forward, so if that time spent spinning, u were hooked, wouldnt that mean you would gain speed faster? and therefore have a higher trap speed?

if not please explain

Take two cars. One hooks off the line and gets on it. He has a time of 13 seconds. The other spins off the line loosing time but still gets a 13 second run. The second will trap much faster because he had to be faster just to catch up.

hey man, glad you posted those up. was just curious how deep in the 10s a 7.0 pass could go... what kind of power did you make to run those times? my car coasted a 7.2@85 on boost alone and im really hoping to get pretty far in the 10s and everyone is sayin its gonna take a 6 sec pass but you got in the 10.8s with a 7.18 whereas my coast pass was a 7.21

I launch at 4400 rpms on drag radials, slipppping the clutch out.

Best 60' was 1.83.

Some would say I'm a pussy and should dump the clutch at 5500 rpms but I like my car too much and I'd like to be able to drive it home from the track (I have the stock tranny, rear and axles in my car still).

the stock rear can take a hell of a beating with slicks, i launched at 5k and was able to get het down to 1.6xx 60 ft, as far as trap speed goes easy 8.8's with a 1.9 60ft but the trap will go down, another way to increase that trap is to get adjustable uppers and set the pinion angle to -1 to -3, i picked up 2 mph doing that
