yes 3:73s make a difference over stock.


I have had both 4:10's and 3:73's in the same car.

but I haven't had a s/c car.

I vote 4:10

and my gas miliage was only down about 1-2 mpg with the 4:10's.

 

i wouldn't get 4:10s with a s/c

 

my car is a daily driver and i have 3:73s. my friend has 410 and its alittle much on the interstate but here look at this chart

It really depends on each car and what your plans are. I am personally go 4.10s and if I ever get a blower see if I like them and if not I will just swap to a 3.73 at that time. And play with the RPM calculators and it will show you what you want!

 

GUESS IM GOING WITH 3.73S CUZ I WILL SUPERCHARG MINE LATER..AND MINES AN AUTOMATIC 4R70W...ME AND MY DAD ARE ABOUT TO TAKE IT OUT AND REBUILD IT..CUZ THATS WHAT ME AND MY DAD DO IS REBUILD TRANSMISSIONS FOR A LIVING..

 

If it is a daily driver and has a manual transmission, I'd steer clear of the 4.10s as you would have little to no first gear at all, which would not be ideal for the streets. That's my opinion on the subject matter, and the reasoning behind my own car having 3.73 gears installed later this month. But on the other hand, my uncle has 4.56 gears in his 02 gt and though I think he's crazy, he absolutely loves them. I simply must have a first gear that lasts more than 2 tenths of a second :dunno but that's just me. lol.

 

i just got 4.10s and i love them right now though i got shitty tires but i order cobra 10.5 in the rear an 9 in the fron with 315 rear and 275 ffront so i might actually stick now , but i u can drive daily with them u just gotta get the feel and get used to them
