Grille Delete

I am new here, just bought an '04 GT. The previous owner bought and installed the grille delete kit and I noticed the radiator is taking a beating from stones and other debris. Is there any kind of screens I can buy to protect the radiator from flying stones or do I need to just buy a new grille and put it back on? I like the no-grille look though.

I have a grill delete and never had issues with stones and such...

But the there are a couple of options...

You could ptu the stocker back in...

You could go with a billet grill...

Or you could take some mesh and paint it black and put it behind the grill delete so the radiator would not get hit...Me personally if I was having this issue I would do the mesh...Just put it on the far back of the bumper (inside the bumper...you should do this from under the hood)...And that should help you on that...

Thanks for the tip, I was just wondering if there was an actual kit I could buy for it. It looks killer without the grill but I don't need to be replacing radiators either. Also, thanks for the compliment :)

There is not a kit out to do the mesh...But you could make one pretty easily...

The billet grille is a kit but I dont think it looks good on a mustang...Same with the stocker...

What do you mean "mesh"? You mean like a screenlike material? I looked under the hood behind the grille and I think I can build a lightweight frame and use some metal screen painted black that would sit about 2 inches in front of the radiator. Anyone who has already used the mesh let me know how you did it.

Auto Zone has the small diam. mesh. Grab some black paint (Duplicolor actually works good for this use), paint it black and stick it in there. Still have the sweet no grille look, and if anyone exams too close, no biggie... the mesh painted black looks nice.

BTW, nice stang.

Thanks for the tip, I'm gonna check it out when I go to Autozone tomorrow.
