I'm having trouble getting the output seal the last 1/4 inch or so into the tail shaft. Anybody know a cheap way to get the seal seated. Right now, the driveshaft yoke will only go on about an inch or so one the threads line up. I think it's cause the seal is not fully seated and it is catching the yoke.

get a slidding hammer or a bearing puller
like 5/6 bucks at harbor freight

or just grab it with pliers n pull it out if your going to replace it

Try using a socket and a hammer to lightly tap it in.

I'm trying to put the new one in all the way.

I'm pretty sure I used a wheel hub socket and lightly tapped it in with a rubber mallet. Just try different sockets and lightly tap on it. (I had trouble getting it in too)

2x4 with a hole cut so it won't touch the rubber part of the seal, and a second one without a hole screwed to that. Hit it in the center and it should drive it in evenly.
