Your year model either had the switch behind the shiter or below it where the little change slots are. But any switch and anywhere you want it will be fine. Hell you ran wire it to your head lights and run them together all the time if you want. all preference.

Hmm Well behind the shifter I only have a spot for my cigarette lighter, and on the center console I have two change slots and a cigarette lighter.

 

you'll need 880 bulbs for those fogs in your sig...not h10 (those are for cobra fogs)

Behind your shifter, next to your rear window defroster, you have like...3 other slot or is it 4? not sure how many there are but if you take off the shifter bezel and look at the connections behind those slots, youll see a purple connection, that purple one i believe is the one you would use for your fogs if you want to maintain a stock look on the inside and a switch spot already made for it.

aight, cus i checked mine and it has the purple connection ready for the fog light switch.
does that mean everything is there already?

 

most likely not...you'll need to trace it to the firewall and see if it has the harness...plus you'll need a functioning switch

on the 99-00 v6 one of the coin holders are replaced with a fog light switch.

 

Gotcha. Can I just pop the coin holder out and the switch will fit good?

Docta is my little brother. I just bought two 1998 Mustang GT parts cars, just gotta pick them up from the auction place . If either of them have that fog light switch will it work? Or does it have to be from 99-00?

Alright about to buy all my stuff.

First, for the fogs should I match with my headlights 6000k, or go with 8000k for the fogs?

Second, the fogs that I'm buying come with 899 bulbs, and I was wondering if 880's will fit?

color temp is really all about your personal style...if you like your headlights go for the same temp...if you want bluer fogs raise it...if you like yellow get 3k's...

as for the bulb number...i think it will be fine

no problem...the only reason i think that is because i remember a customer had the same issue...the bulb he pulled out of his GT said 899 (or it might of been 889 :/ )...but our book and computer said 880 for his car

 

Boom I bought the hid bulbs, OEM switch, and new smoked fog lights. For the wiring harness I could get it tomorrow locally from a 98 GT, but I'm just making sure it will work for a 99?

i'm going to end up needing the full thing if i get them...not really too worried though since i'm looking for a new DD...i just like to have fogs on any car i own since where i live it does get pretty bad sometimes...and since my lady will be driving the sixxer i want her to be able to see all the time
