Highest WHP from a cam only 4.6 2V?

What is the highest WHP from a cam and bolt on only four 6? Im not talking about anything crazy like a carb setup or after market pistons to raise the compression. I want to know what is the highest WHP cam only 99-04 4.6 2V with stock compression, i searched google but didnt find squat. Thanks :D

297 rwhp with just a K&n cold air intake and cam. Thats all

Thats on a 120k motor. Have the setup now with a 45k mile motor and slp cat back and bbk x pipe. We will see what it makes when i get it back together from the wreck. Havent had much time to get it back running since ive been working on my yellow one. Might add plenum and throttle body and headers and shoot for like 330 all bolt on lol

I keep reading that a full bolt-on car with cams MIGHT see 300rwhp. That's with a good tune and all supporting mods. I will be adding Hi Tech Stage 2's within the next few weeks and dyno tuning prior to adding the S/C... I'll post numbers.:D

for bolt on 2v's with cam swaps and stock heads, the highest number I have seen is 300ish...

This is cool stuff. I think 320 WHP is a good start for anyone looking for power. I have a Q though. If you will be going F/I in the future would the N/A cam be even worth buying? If your going to buy them you might as well get as high HP as you can. I have not seen over 303 myself and that was with the comp stage II. I'm not even sure if those heads were stock though.

I saw 288/310ish with my cams. I could get to 300 if I did a T/B and UDP's

Ive seen a decent amount of 5 speed 2Vs with full bolt ons. longtubes and cams making 300rwhp. Some a little under.

I have full bolts ons, ported & polished PI heads, Comp stage 3 cams, notched pistons, 302 RWHP with lots of tweaking by the tuner.

When I changed my plenum/TB from the C & L/BBK to the Stack Racing plenum/TB I lost 4 RWHP. I'll be buyig the Accufab plenum/TB soon to replace the Stack Racing and then I'll get it dynoed again to see if my RWHP came back up.

It could of just been the car being warmer on the run with the Stack racing TB, a dyno does not dyno perfectly within a half a hp every time so it could of just been dyno variance.

I think some of those numbers being posted need some dyno sheets to backem up.

There's no way someone is going to get 297 RWHP with just a CAI & cams.
I dont reallly think he is lying but the last time he posted those #'s he said he had a dyno sheet but wound up he said he couldnt find it and never posted it.

Cant find it but i think i have a good rep and i try to help people as much as i can...no reason to lie about a cammed mustang. My yellow one is about to double that and some

Also..When i put them in my procharged gt i made 40 more hp on 2 lbs less boost and it was detuned because i didnt want to blow up my 40k mile motor

260rwhp/278rwtq with Stage II N/A comp cams and springs, CAI, SLP cat back. Defenitely not the highest but some down to earth numbers from the ridiculous 290ish being posted.


Have a o/r x on the way and going to get 75mm throtle body/C&L plenum hoping to make around 280.

First tune is no cams
Second tune is after cams. Theres 68 horse power and less boost. But my **** is ridiclious..I will make a personal trip just since im pissed people dont believe me and get a new sheet from hermonn. Now keep in mind hes a bad ass tuner and has the record for a terminator cobra. i dont know what the record for it is, cant remember if it was a pullied cobra or KB cobra. But anyways..Theres the results on my 02 gt...Sorry Baznasty for taking your thread over but im just kind of pissed.

Damn man thats sick. What did you do with those cams? Degree them? Springs? Im up in there air between CMS stage 2.5 blower cams and HP S292's
