just for the sake of argument, would a 03-04 cobra blower fit on my 03 mach 5 speed, if doesnt fit now what would i have to change, just the lower intake manifold, and some vacuum lines, and some heat exchanger bull ****, because im looking a blowers and its just 100x easier to find them for the 03 cobra, and not to sound rude, dont try to tell me to just buy a blower for a mach thats not what i made this thread for, and ill prob buy a blower for a mach but i just got thinking and was wandering what it would take to put a blower meant for a 03-04 cobra on my mach1 since its the same basic engine(i know the differences lol)

the 03 and 04 cobra does not share the same engine with the mach 1! who told you that? all they share are the same hi flowing heads..and maybe your forged crank..thats it

Sorry it didnt seem proper. The 03-04 cobra and mach share high flowing heads and mattstang had me look up info and found out you could do the swap...sorry. my assumption was incorrect

everything will fit fine, you will have to have all the parts for it. the lower manifold is the hardest, most expensive thing to get. the blower itself is the only thing that cost more. as long as you have everything that is needed to properly run it, it will be a direct bolt in.

I thought the machs and cobras had different heads as well. I was under the impression the mach used the navigator heads and the termi used a specific set because of the blower application. I saw a mach on craigslist that had spun a bearing and thought about grabbing it, forging the bottom and adding a KB and a few friends with terminators told me they share nothing but possibly the crank and I would need different heads to move more air and get better results from a blower.

While it would work after a bit of work.

I just dont see it being that much cheeper than buying a blower that bolts in the car as well (Centri or screw). Also your power gains will be much weaker than if you bought a kit from KB, Prochrager, or Etc.. I just never understood the idea behind trying to slap a Eaton on.

Hell if I had a 03/04 Cobra I would be trying to get that Eaton off A.S.A.P to put something else in its place that can make some really power.

I mean its your car, your time, and your cash so do with it what you will. I just personally dont find it a over all great idea.

motor

is basically the same motor as i said its a 4.6 DOHC 32valve ford motor, i know there not the same motor, but they do have the heads of the 03-04 cobra, dont get me wrong im not planning on buying a blower anytime soon, if i stumble across someone selling a cheap one off of a 03-04 i might buy it, but i was just wandering more then anything, i wont have the money for a blower for a little bit, at least not untill this time next year, untill then its gears, suspension, exhaust, intake,a chip and a damn good tune, and some mickey tompsons, and maybe cams and do some sick head work, but im going fully N/A for a little bit

While cams and head work sounds great. Unless you plan on running 800hp or so it is far from needed in those cars. Only us little 2v's need all that. The heads on your car flow great already and while cams sound great and give some good #'s the cost for you car is just unreal and to be honest your stocks will do just fine.

Again though its your car wallet and car. For now I would just do full bolt on's, tune, gears, and then see how you feel after that.

From what I've read it has a Mercury Maurader motor which has the same heads as a Cobra with Navigator cams.

the 03+ 4v mustangs are all the same set up. the heads are all c-heads, the termi has forged internals. the later 4v's all have the navigator cams. you can do this swap for around $2k, that is why people look into doing this.
