Some of you know I'm going turbo yadda yadda. I'm trying to guesstimate how much rwhp I will be making on a loaded Mustang Dyno. I've been told 550whp on pump gas (14ish-psi) is a conservative number. I'm only asking this because I was going to do a race gas tune, but if I'm already near or above 550, theres no way I will have enough fuel from my pumps. Just seeing if I should start saving for a return style fuel setup sooner than later. This is my setup:
Turbonetics T series 76mm .96A/R 14psi or so
MHS Stage 2 turbo cams
Stock heads
9:1 CR MMR900
80lb injectors
4" CXRacing FMIC

That should cover the major parts of it

What are you running for fuel pumps? You said pumps (plural) so if it's two cobra pumps, I wouldn't go much more than 550. If you have dual GT pumps or something like that you should be good to get a race tune.

You have to remember that a turbo it'll be a little more efficient, so you can be at a higher rwhp level than blower guys with the same setup and be safe.

Yeah I have twin Cobras with 40A BAP. And yeah I know about the efficiency of the turbo (thats why i switched over). The blower took about 115ish horsepwoer to spin, and i'll make at least that back up at the same boost level, plus the additional power from the cams.

I figured you knew about it since you were going turbo, I just put that out there for the other peeps reading along.

With your fuel setup and either a wiring upgrade or dual FPDM, I'd say you should be able to push 650 to the wheels with a turbo. You should be fine doing 550 on pump gas and 650 on a race tune.

Sorry if that came out dick-ish, I wasn't trying to be haha. You think the Cobras can support that much? I honestly don't want to dump much more money in my fuel setup since I can be using it towards return style. Maybe some turbo guys with numbers can chime in also. I'm just trying to collect some rwhp numbers and comparing them.

Nope, didn't come off dickish.

I know cobra pumps can handle 500 rwhp stock and ~600 rwhp with a 40a BAP and wiring upgrade/dual fpdm, and those are both twin screw/roots blower numbers. I'd be confident that you could run 50 more rwhp being that it's a more efficient setup.

Probably, but I hate everything with wiring unless it's plug and play haha. Also, if you're talking about the Aeromotive 340lph pump, thats for a return style system.

Hoping to have in on the rollers mid-late April. Maybe even sooner.
40thgt, who's doing your tuning? I've been in contract with DGR and will probably end up going with him. Hoping to get 3 custom tunes written for different boost levels.
My tune shop up here by me, Big 3 Racing.

I know I've commented before but I think you're underestimating. I know you're going to be on a Mustang Dyno, not certain how much lower they read but think I've been told 5%. My car was on a DynoMeter but I have Auto which supposedly loses 5% and stock cams. Add that to me running the little On3 70 mm turbo @ 12 psi versus your Turbonetics Vanessa I really think you'll hit 600+ whp @ 14-15 psi bro.
I'm thinking the max I will see is 550. I don't think it'll be 600. The more the better though! You also have a little more displacement with your stroker.
Ah, gotcha. I would still need to run dual FPDM's though, correct?

Slightly off topic but what's the svt focus pump lph? I'm hoping for 450-500 rwhp with 13psi when I'm done with my turbo build. Not really looking for anymore than that seeing how it's going to be just a fun street car. Still waiting on most of my parts to arrive but hoping to have everything done by may.

Stock PI intake, 70mm TB and tickflow plenum. The cams are to help spool time and make some more power. You gotta make sure your springs have enough seat pressure though. He has Stage 2 springs which are good for under 20psi, but I got the Stage 3's which are good for 20psi+
