I just changed out the stock 19's for 30's. Now I'm pretty sure that it's not my brain but the car sounds different. It's got a deeper tone and it's not as choppy/rough at idle. Is this normal??

I dont think that would make it idle better unless you had a fuel problem before like you didnt have enough. Did you change your maf and get it tune for 30lb injectors?
yes the MAF was upgraded also. Stock short block, 351w heads ported w/valve job, cobra intake, trickflow stage 1 cam, long tubes and 150shot. What also seems a little weird is that it does not smell as rich.
i heard when u upgrade ur injectors it will run more efficient so it should smell less rich im burning so much gas casue i just rebuilt my engine and im running stock injectors so i need to get new ones and ill start getting better gas mileage
That's what I was thinking. So I called the place the tuned the car and I no sooner got the question out of my mouth and he was telling me that the car was in trouble and that I need to get it up there ASAP for a retune. Oh and it's $125 an hour.
i noticed a big difference when i changed my stock 19lb injectors for a set of newer style 98' explorer 5.0 injectors i swiped from the wrecking yard. your old injectors were probably sticking
it will b to much fuel your not makeing that much power. plus they like to run alittle lean anyway and you will make more poweron that setup with 24s.
