yet he can run a mid to low 13 with the same type of mods only add some udp's? I think not my friend. udp's DO NOT add that kind of horsepower LOL
 
maybe i am just nit picking. its been a boring ass weekend. haha
 
The swap would be pretty straight forward and well worth the effort. AJE sells the Kmember you are looking for and a crossmamber for the tranny. I would highly sdvise running an auto behind an LS motor in a Mustang due the simplicity of the swap. You will have to get the GM AC compressor plumbed up (figure ~$350) and you will have to route the power steering lines to the hydoboost. You will probably have to change the TB and MAF set up. You could use the stock GM wiring harness and computer, but you can easily convert the Mustang wiring harness to work with the LS engine. HTe main problem is the firing order, but you can just rearrange your COP wiring to accomodate the new firing order.

There is a few more things, but I don't have time to go over it right now. Do your research and make efficient decisions.

yeah a 14.2 on a stock auto! honestly, a cai, x-pipe w/flowmaster is not going to give any HP and the sct chip really just changed the shift points on the transmission so all that probably gave me, say 10 HP max!
i understand that some people cant drive their cars to their potential and i do have a video of my racing and beating a ls1, he was a horrible driver! we raced again but his buddy drove and i lost big time but it all comes down to the drivers.
 
i wouldn't personally swap an ls1 into my car i dont like to cross breed but its a really good motor and can pump out alot of hp, but if i was you i would definatly look at some of the new crate motors if you are willing to spend some money the new 5.0 and 5.8 can start with anything from 300-425 hp. if not then find a good rebuilt 5.8 and have fun with that motor :)

i'm just messin with ya cause i'm sure you spun or something but 8.8 should be good for 13.7 or at least 13.8. so with gears and some tires i don't see why i shouldn't see a 13.5.

tons of ls1's run 13.5 and maybe the guy you raced in the gt couldn't drive...2v should be pretty even with an lt1

btw, a buddy of mine with exhaust, full intake, tune, and 3.73's ran 8.5 in the eighth. thats good for low 13's.

and i do have another friend with a mach 1 who ran 13.2 his first pass (thinks he could've gotten lower) with just exhaust and maybe one or two more bolt on's at the most. and he happen to beat an ls1 recently :D

I just don't see that happening. I go to the track every weekend and the cars running 8.5's have a bit more than that. With that logic my car should run quite better than 8.5, and it doesn't. It can't.

well I have no problem beating a stock ls1 z28 or trans am.. hell im only one car behind a camaro ss with full exhaust, tb, 4.10's , and a air lid.

I have no problem beating stock 2001 cobras either. so idk

um yeah.. basicly hooking up is the issue..

for some reason.. my car hooks up better on the street than on the track.. now that I dont understand bc the track has the vht or w/e that stuff is called. hell watch the video.. im barkin third every time without even trying.

I have some videos where i was so pissed i just stomped the gas and ran like a 10.3 lol! i just let the bitch spin from the start line all the way down the track. it was kickin sideways and everthing haha

The 100 shot isn't filled up. I just got the **** in about two weeks ago and just got it hooked up. I haven't ran with it yet.

Yuk the 1/8 mile.:eek:. I've seen better seating at a little league game. Did here how thick the announcers southern accent is.

intake as in throttle body and plenum along with CAI and exhaust as in midpipe/catback.

it is very easy to swap in your desired....."powerplant", all you have to do is dig up Henry Ford's grave and slap him in the face. after you do that, Satan will help you lower his demon spawn between your strut towers. congratulations, you now have a halfbreed mutt that will never sound like a mustang ever again. good job; really. you should open up your own shop, you could call it John's Speedshop & Mental Institution. good luck with all that.
