I'm going to be taking off my 10 holes and putting back on my Ponies for summer. I bought the car in September with the 10 holes on so I'm looking forward to putting the Ponies on. Anyways, my dad put the Ponies on his car (it's in storage) but the lug nuts just don't look right. He put regular plain lug nuts on it and in my opinion, they don't like they have touching much wheel at all. Is there a special lug nut that has to be used with Ponies???

How much would you guess is touching the wheel? My concern is I'm doing autocross this summer with the Ponies and I don't want a wheel falling off. Should I maybe put a washer and then a lug nut?

id say no. even though the wheels are hub-centric (meaning the iner large whole in the wheele sitstight on the hub) i wouldnt put washers on. the lugs sit slightly countersank in the wheele. this used to come up on the ramcharger forums when i had my 93 rc. some people would widen the center of ford wheeles to put on older dodges. not having the hub tight on the wheele puts all the pressure on the lugs. being hub centric and lug cintrick is pretty strong, even with only 4 lugs. putting washers on would take away not add to the strength of the wheele.

I finally got new tires so my Ponies are going on the car on Wednesday. Just out of curiousity is there any chance somebody could please take a picture of a Pony mounted on their car? Just looking for a picture of the center showing the lug nuts mounted. Thanks!!!

it depends on the wheel, but the stock lug are ACORN (bulge).
