Well i think the title says it all...what exactly is the most hp the stock 19 punders can handle? Im upgrading my fuel pump to a 190lph but was just wondering about the injectors.

  • 500cc per minute is approximately equal to 49lbs per hour which is equal to approximately 100hp.
  • lbs/hour = cc per minute / 10.5
  • lbs per hour = HP / 2.04
  • cc per minute = lbs per hour x 10.5
  • cc per minute = HP x 5
  • HP = cc per minute / 5
  • HP = lbs per hour x 2.04

The formula is:

Maximum HP = (Injector rating x duty cycle x no. of injectors)/Brake specific fuel consumption

Assuming a duty cycle of 85% or 0.85, and a BSFC of 0.50, we get the following:

Maximum HP = (19 x 0.85 x 8)/0.50 = 258hp

That's only a rough estimate but it gives you an idea. How's that for dirty talking? ;)

heh thanks...Means im gonna need 24 pounders. Damn. But i know there is a guy running around on here with tw heads and the stock injectors. I could prolly get by on the stockers if I didnt add the nitrous right away. Then when I did add the spray just upgrade the fuel too.
