Meth injection problem?

I bought a meth injection kit for my car and i have a problem. I bought my blower kit used and it already had the AIT sensor relocated. and i do not think that i will have the room between a meth nozzle and my sensor. What do you guys think?

Ask Mike Post. I'd move the sensor up closer towards the throttle body. I don't think it would be a good idea to leave it there as you'd need to put the meth nozzle right after the coupler and then you have a bend before it hits the iat sensor.

Finally installed mine during the President's Day weekend...has taken some adjusting of the module but I definitely feel a difference...if nothing else though, I can feel a little 'safer' from detonation.

Still planning on going to get a professional tune done at some point.

I would not follow that advice, and that would have me questioning the quality of the tune file you will receive from that tuner. The IAT should be placed where it can see the actual temp of the air entering the cylinders, as air charge temps effect commanded ignition advance in the tune file. That isn't just a detonation prevention issue, it's a getting the most "bang for your buck" issue.

If you can't weld, remove the pipe and take it to someone who is able to. Any exhaust shop shouldn't charge more than $20 to put a bung on there for you.

Mike must have misunderstood. No way the comp will know to pull timing if the Meth is spraying after the iat.

Sorry man, had to drive home, took some pics, & was hangin/helpin a guy on corral. :D I'm not goin to swear to it but I believe it was black silicone. I used the last of it when I did it. I spread it .25" thick inside & out. I've changed couplers as you'll see so I'm goin to have to do it myself again.

Yea I've got a little anal about hiding wires & things!!! :D

No prob at all!!! Meant to tell you, the IAT/silicone held up to 16lbs boost. And I got my couplers at xtreme psi WAY better than the Vortech. They're 4-ply, made great, & I can barely get em on/off. Almost don't need clamps! Lol! Heck yea, I'd love it!!! I'll pm you my email.

Spraying pre-compressor puts the mixture there to prevent heat from building up to begin with. This also creates a more dense charge leaving the compressor improving compressor efficiency.

are y'all running by boost-trigger or MAF-triggered on your meth charge? I set mine up using boost-trigger, I have a centri(Vortech V1)...not sure if it is triggering correctly, I do not have the pump activation light where i can see it while driving yet. I am running off a Tee from the fuel rail....should I tee off the recirculator BOV?

Hopefully that won't blow out under boost.

Why I would but a lightening threaded IAT sensor.

9gpm probably to big. Could just run the 5/3gph 6-8" before the IAT sensor

i am worrying about that as well, I am going to use some red silicone to help hold it in, roush 01 vert said he hit 16 psi. plan b i am probably getting a threaded one and tapping the plenum. this setup is temparary untill i get a FMIC since i a broke student:facepalm: Also with the two end wires on the maf harness does it matter which wire goes to which? not sure which of the two end wires on the maf harness goes to these ?

Got ya.

And nope, won't matter. Can solder whatever wire from the new IAT sensor to whatever wire from the harness

I always ran a 70% meth 30% water mix. Seemed to work great. If it were me, I'd run 2 jets post blower, help atomize the air. And run 1 pre blower.

Not sure on size for post blower, probably like two 8-10gph jets, but I'd stick to a smaller jet pre blower.. Like a 3-5gph at those boost levels.

That's just me. Skidad I beleive is his name has a great set up. I'd look him up

I wouldn't run the meth after the intercooler if the MAF is upstream (blow through) you'll have issues I promise.

Run it at least 6" after the MAF. And at least 6" before the IAT sensor.

I ran a 5gph pre blower at 11psi ( came on at 4psi) my mix was 70% meth 30% water, so technically it should evaporate pretty quick, but still caused issues hitting the MAF in a blow through setup.
