Well it's my first "REAL" mod. I've tinted my windows and added a new antenna, but I installed my JLT Ram Air Kit two nights ago.
The install was as easy as it's supposed to be. Took about 30 min.
Just one tip tho, you need to shave your oil cap. I had to shave about a half inch off of one corner to let that big ass tube fit in there. I did it with a Dremmel tool and a sanding bit. Took all of 5 min.
I know it doesn't add enough HP to really notice but when I took it out after putting it on, it felt like the car was breathing much better. Semed to run a little smother too. I also noticed it was a little more responsive when I hammered it.
The Mod bug has officially bitten me!

Awesome. I'm gonna be installing that here soon also. I got the ram air kit intake kit in the mail, but I was missing a silicone piece, so JLT is sending it now. Once that arrives, it will be going on. Thanks for posting up that you had to shave off some of the oil cap, I'll do that before I do anything else.

Be sure to test fit it first before you start shaving your oil cap. Because not all of the mustangs have that problem. Some of the 99-04 GTs engines are postioned slighty different from the factory ( for whatever reason). Good Luck!!!!
