From what I'm gathering, cars that did the 3v swap are at a loss to the 05 engines still because of our computers, even with a tune? I'm wondering how valid that is and how hard a computer swap would actually be. Everytime the idea pops into my head, I wanna go grab a 3v motor and drop it in..

the conversion covers everything to swap in the 3v. the difference's is the phasers, and how your tuner dials in the tune. i know there is more to it, but i been up 30hrs and i'm not going to think more than i have to.
if you want to run a 3v computer, you need a gas pedal also. PCM needs to see the signal from the sensor on the pedal and the tps sensor for part of its timing/fueling table needs. which low and behold I have an extra 3v gas pedal under the rear bench of my truck lol
