I have it and have no complaints. I have custom tunes in mine though and have it run to the glovebox. A little more secretive and cant accidentally get knocked into another tune, as you can change tunes with the car running
I had AM set me up with a 93 octane n/a tune a 100hp nitrous tune, and a race gas n/a tune. When I get done with the build I am gonna get it dyno tuned. I am hoping someone on here is running tunes from AM so I know how good they are. I am sure they are good, they ask you all kinds of questions when they do the tune.
Chips are great if they are tuned on the dyno. The problem with chips is that you cant datalog and cannot receive new tunes over email. I won't sell chips for any car made after '96 because the datalogging is key and the xcal makes tuning over email possible as well as quick changes to the tune. Unless the chip was customized for your car by datalogging you should question the quality of the tune and keep an eye on the AF while listening for detonation.
I run an XD-16/LC-1 for all my datalogging needs...So the chip works for me...
Although the mailing tune changes would make things nice...
But alas SCT only gives $100 credit for the chips...
