I have this programmer and have never used it and was wondering when I get taller tires will I be able to correct the speedometer directly with the programmer or will I have to get new tunes for the slightly taller rear tires. When I got the car it had the 93 tune loaded on it so I have not taken the time to toy with it.

no it has never been used on another car. i got it with the car because the previous owner installed the JLT cold air kit and got the programmer as a package deal.

So I don't have to get it re-programmed, I should be able to set it myself? I haven't fooled with it yet because I don't have a user manual that explains any thing.

Jays, There's no real users manual for explanation about changes and things. The instructions that come with it are more geared towards clearing your conscious of plugging the thing into your vehicle. Outside of a menu overview, it's more of a common sense tuner. I suggest you head over to the SCT web site and check out some of their FAQ section and customer tutorials. They also have a small forum you can link to.

I don't recall a tire height change parameter, but I never really looked in mine. Outside of overall gearing parameter I just never had a reason to search around for a tire diameter change in the thing.

Thanks Redfire and Emay, All I do know is that it came from evolution performance and I plan on getting new tunes from Brenspeed or Bama chips as soon as I get through with all the appearance stuff and can start with the performance goodies!
