Finally found some time to finish up these covers. I'm fairly happy with them, but everyone that sees them go nutts over them. I guess I'm my worst critic!

She shine seems to be screwing with my little camera. My good one is being repaired.

Maybe I'll take some pics outside in natural light in the morning.

A procharger and brackets are easy stuff.

"Finish shops" just plainly don't do the quality work that I do. That's plain and simple. I've seen work from shops all over the nation. Unless you pay a premium price you're just not gonna get a quality product................."good ol' boy" pricing and quality not included.;)

Actually I'm a little disappointed with your work, with all the up talk I was expecting perfection and the areas around bolt hole sections and cast portions are clearly not well finished seen even with the poor quality photo.

I don't do good ole boy work. My Tradesmen that I use don't either. Those would be what I would call come back material.

Actually I'm tired of your silly BS!
Everything is fully finished Mr. Know-it all:rolleyes:

LOL, alright then be tired.. bring the rain with some detailed pics of the fine toothed work in those casted areas.. 10 days start to finish for a single set.

I'm a know it all from first hand experienced "BS". The majority here know this. Your a relative rookie so your not up to speed yet. Next we'll be seeing posts about cars in national car shows that you have to be invited to, not regular ones. Did I get that quote right? I can't remember since your soliciting backrubs on corral.net, mustang source, allfords, highperformancestangs, and here. Kinda hard to keep up with it all.

*running off with tail tucked between legs cause I'm full of BS apparently*

Alright twisted you got me, can't combat that bit of whitiness.

Why don't you become a supporting vendor while you solicit us here. I mean there are rules, and you have already mentioned trying to figure out pricing once these were complete and gone as far as making it clear, I'm not cheap, but good. We can all start sending our parts to your garage then for super polish.

nice. why not join? ;) its a good site. granted alot of local az peeps, but a good site none the less. just don't mind all the steelers fans (not me though, too much of a Chi-town guy). :lol
I'm a member from quite some time ago - I'll fire up a new account under Emay. Nothing against it, just time consuming and focus most time to my local support and here.

I never got the AZ following of Steelers. What's up with that. I mean the Cardinals have put things together for back to backs, where their love?

just roughin ya up a little! no worries man. i spend most my time here as well. normally more traffic here, but yet not overkill like svtp and what not.

as for the steeler thing, the guy that runs it is from PA, and has been a huge stiller fan. and the copperstate mustang club's president is also from PA. when the site owner took it over he was new in az and invited alot of his PA buddies, and thus the stiller love. personally it grosses me out, but being a bears fan, and only really following the cards when the bears are done, its not too big of a deal. though they are mighty cocky about it, and get very defensive about it. so, i guess thats where the fun comes in. ;) :)

I didn't come here to sell a damn thing. If your reading comprehension was a bit better, you could see that. Read the first post and title. I hadn't done a set of these covers, nor had I seen anyone with a set done, but heard a bunch of people bitch about the stockers. I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in a set like these so I wouldn't be stuck with a polished set since I don't have a little ol' 3V. By doing these covers, I gained knowledge that I can pass on to friends and customers..
I do this polishing bit for MY PLEASURE. It's a stress reliever.

BTW..........These are already sold and the guy didn't blink at $450

Congrats - and way too steep, which was my point from the get go.
In YOUR opinion!
$450 outright is a great price. How much do you think these cover cost from Ford?
I know a pretty big shop in the mid-west that charges $189 EACH to polish 4V cam covers and those are FAR easier to polish than 3V cam covers

But I forgot, You're the all knowing Emay

Correct all the way through. Good thing you smartened up.

Bill I think your not understanding your hobby is an industry I spent years within. Your not talking to some hack hill billy that afro-american engineers his customer projects or his personal items for that matter. I was willing to bow out and you want to zing.

You are right it is my informed "Opinion" by experience. Your finally starting to grasp that.

All that said, what's your flat rate labor cost going to be if a customer ships you their cam covers. Take the parts cost out of the mix. Your not tied to a vendor to make this cost effective enough for you. Much less draw a volume that makes this hobby polishing economical at all. Asking a customer to toss their stockers to Sink 450.00 into you is going to have you cater to a very specific audience. That's your call.

If you want, I'll post several shots of the custom bikes done on my behalf, that business is the reason my car was built funded almost entirely from polish, chrome, powder, and paint, but was also inclusive of plenty of mechanical.

For those that I have wasted time within this thread I apologize. I won't be internet butt reamed when I'm versed in the industry and made a living off of it for quite some time. I've helped enough here to prove that over the years and I'm simply trying to get Bill to come back to earth.

You've failed to properly read and comprehend the intent and the direction of this thread from the VERY beginning.
Maybe if you weren't so full of yourself, you could see that.
