Wanted to get some info on the typhoon intakes by professional products to see if any one got a dyno before and after to see what kind of power they made. They claim to make like 25 HP that sounds a bit high.

a friend of mine put one on his mustang and it is junk. nothing fit good, his is polished and it still loos like crap, power loss is noticable below 4k. above 4k its good, but its not worth the money!

+1 one what all of these guys have said. the casting are crap, the fitment is crap and they dont make the power that professional products advertises them to make. why are you wanting an intake? there is no need unless your spraying more than a 150 shot or your an all out n/a race motor

I agree with all the above mentioned, but if you really want to spend the money get the trickflow intake with single t/b set up, or if you REALLY have the money get the foxlake P-51 intake, best intake made for the modular engine. but it's going to set you back about $1300.oo bucks. the trickflow will be around $700.oo

and its not good on a motor thats a street motor. youll lose a ton of poiwer down below the curve and make about 20 on the very top above 5500 rpms. not worth the loss unless its a race engine. the pi intake by fomoco was a very well designed unit. makes good torque down low as well as good power above. the best intake on the market for the 2v is the bullitt intake.

Yeah I wish there was a cast/aluminum intake that was the exact replica of the PI! I just put fired my stang up with the PI intake on it today and it seems to do fine! I havent taken it above 2200 RPM yet so I dont know if I gained power! lol

And Drgn that sig is great!!

hard baller is the next best next to the bullitt

jumping on the band wagon here....

+1 on what all these guys said as well....complete JUNK.

the Bullit Intake, Hardballr intake, and Foxlake's P51 are good manifolds. i've heard that Trickflow's new one was good as well....not so much in the n/a part of it unless highly modded, but on FI thats when it really shines. Basically a knock off of the bullit intake (probably small differences, not to sure, but its pretty obvious where the design is from...)

but yeah go with what these guys are recommending kolby

anybody got a dyno graph on forced induction with the trickflow

I'll throw up a vote for the hardballer intake too. I heard it's closer to a race intake than a street intake though...

they all are closer to race intakes on the 2v, there is simply no need for one.
