I just put an SCT tune on y 01 gt yesterday! WOW! I would buy it right now if I were you. The throttle response is way better. Overall feel is better than I hoped for! Go SCT!

 

Call up your local tuner and see what they use. If you ever require a dyno tune, then you already will have part of the equipment needed.

Stand-alone, the SCT does great. I'd recommend finding a used unlocked one for about half price from new.

 

I have an SCT and thus far its worked great for me. I get the free tunes from Bama. My car is now to the point where its going to need a Dyno tune. The best shop in my area will tune my car with the SCT, however they hate doing it because they say that the DIablo will allow them to adjust more parameters vs the SCT...

I'll probably end up selling my SCT and just have my tuner flash my tune on to my car for me.

Moral of the story: Call your local shop and ask what tuner they prefer. Even if you never think you'll get a dyno tune.

We went Diablo based on what you ^ said. Pretty happy with it. I've got a diablo tuner on my Wrangler too (SC'd @ 8lb).

whatever your local tuner has and is familiar with. Most mustang tuners are familiar with both sct and diablo. i prefer my sct
