When do you peel out at an intersection

I don't mean a massive sideways display, but just enough power to chirp the tires good bit.

I've had my 07 GT for just over a year. I never had a nice sports car before ever and never a manual transmission. I love my car.

I only do it when no other cars or people are around.

Yep...just a little spin in first...and often in second.

Nobody even knows...I have Michelin Pilot Sports...they are dead quiet and don't smoke.

My suspension mods mean I track straight and true with no hop, so I have never had trouble with any unseen law enforcement either.

don't do that, whatre you five years old? You could kill somebody.

:lmao nope, i do it quite a bit, if you ever read my thread about this i was about the dumbest piece of **** on this earth for doing something like this.

Not much for peeling out in town... my stang tends to play mind games and im never sure which way the a$$ end will slide out.

Mine usually goes to the left... and then back to the right. I usually don't do burnouts in traffic but on side roads. I did however do a burnout over a speed bump in a parking lot. I blame my roommates driving in front of me for that one.

This is hilarious, cause i did this today, and got a ticket. Let me off with an "excessive noise" ticket, instead of exhibition of speed or something more severe. I have LTH, O/R Xpipe, and glasspacks, he didnt suggest doing anything to the exhaust. Simply said "just dont rev it up and dump the clutch."

If there is no one around and when someone left a set of marks already.....I put down a pair that is much longer right next to it....Just last week in front of a Chevy dealership I set a pair down that would put a smile on everyone's face. Customers with a salesperson were looking at a new Camaro......watched the whole thing....:D

I don't always do burnouts, but when I do I prefer dos equis.

Lol, no I try not to do burnouts cause of my wheel hop.

It's important to make sure you're leaving two lines behind your car. I do it as part of my regular fluid inspection to make sure I've got enough diff fluid. :shiftyeyes

In my 01 i rarely did them at the stop sign... i'd roll out get half way threw first and then mash it... loved the rolling burnouts.... would continue threw 2nd gear.

With my 05, its an auto and for some reason doesnt like to spin its tires. I dont know if its because i've got perreli wide ovals in the rear and they just grip too much or if my car is just gutless haha. Just feels like my low end torque isnt there. but my top end torque is amazing!

Last car show of the season for our club was on Wednesday, my father did about a 60ft burnout in his maverick...no posi rear either! haha it was grrreaaat...My car was apart for it so no rubber put down by yours truly =(

Have done it once or twice when I first got this little beast, but not on purpose anymore. She's just a very expensive milk and grocery carrier and she makes daddy VERY happy. :)

man, i peel out as much as i can from intersections.. I always try to be the first in line so I can do so. My car puts down good traction, even on stock tires. They hook surprisingly.

Running my 555r's as my summer tire, I usually do a slow rollout then floor it once in a while. They hook too much to spin from a stop, but I CAN chirp up to the 3-4 shift when the temp drops a little.
I'm not much of a burnout in public kind of guy, but once in a while I drive down this one road that connects two major roads and I'll stop and launch it just for shits and giggles.

Apparently others do that too since there's burnout marks all over the place.

See, to me, right now, that is a bonus.

My wife isnt going to OK my new tires till I NEED them. I already have her signed off on me getting new wheels when I get new tires. SO, I am being a little harder on my tires till spring, at which time, if they arent dead, I am going to make them dead

Then once I get my 275 Nitto 555s Ill be nicer to them, but wheelspin also wont be as much of a problem as it is now then either.

I peel out all the way through second, chirp on third and lose traction again at the top end of third. That's with 305 Nitto 555R. :dunno I guess that's what cool kids do. I wanna be cool.

I never do this. I have a perfect driving record and cheap insurance and prefer to keep it this way. That's why I go to the track every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Come on, you do it. You love to do it. We all do it. I do it, I love to do it. I just did it and I'm ready to do it again, don't tell me you don't do it!

(It's good to own a Mustang!) :D
